Young man - what you have just watched was not just a great live performance of a great song... this is a once-in-a-lifetime encounter with the transcendent. Imagine if you will if, while the entire crowd was being absolutely mesmerized by this breathtaking solo and light show only to have the entire band suddenly stop so that Dave Gilmour could tell the audience how in his opinion the the unfolding "disco ball" reminded him of a jellyfish? You see where I'm going with this?

Cry still every time I hear this song. The older I get and the pain I’ve experienced and experience now emotionally and physically, the meaning comfortably numb hits u much harder and it be more than a song and the guitar solo is like a melancholic, beautiful expression of the pain that I go through there music means so much more to me than most

I had always heard about Pink Floyd from friends etc, without actually paying any attention to them. I was too stuck in my Reggae ways at the time. That was until one night after a few beers and went home. I was looking for something to watch on the the TV, and just happened to come across this concert live on the BBC, and at the start of it too. I was blown away, and have loved the Floyd ever since. 30 years later and i still get emotional every time i hear them play.

I lived within a few miles of this venue (Earls Court) London, went to a few car shows there but missed this concert. Friends went and made little sense describing it, I feel I missed out on something truly unique. Nowadays I live in a rural village, but discovered that one of the neighbours was at Pulse 1994.

I was at that same venue watching Pink Floyd, but twenty years earlier in 1974, where they were playing their then-new album, Dark Side of the Moon. As everyone must be already telling you, they are something unique and valuable. Though they're no longer playing together, the good news is that there is TONS of great stuff to work your way through, and you'll love it. I suggest you watch/listen to them perform 'The Great Gig in the Sky' during this same 'Pulse' concert. Enjoy it!

I was at the last night of this string of shows. What's missing from all this is the surround sound, I remember at the beginning of the show before the band came on it sounded like you were underwater and a rowing boat was going over your head. The show was mesmerizing, because you didn't know where to look, one moment there was an inflatable pig bouncing up and down, or next, a model Spitfire plane gliding over you before exploding into the right of the stage. All without showing the band on the screen. Outside the venue, Earls Court in London, they had the two metal heads from the Division Bell album cover on the roof and a couple of massive searchlights from WWII lighting up the sky - one of the operators told me they they needed to get prior permission from air traffic control so they could pre warn airline pilots coming into Heathrow to ensure they wouldn't get freaked out. It was a weird feeling walking out back to the hotel, people were pretty quiet, my girlfriend at the time just sat in the chair when we got to our room still trying to process it all.

I saw them twice. One time they played the entire dark side of the moon album in one setting. I have seen some of the greatest concerts on the planet.....Floyd is WAY above all of them. It is not a band....they conduct the universes energy and turn it into song. Universal Transducers.

I can see that you are impressed by this performance despite only watching a video on a computer screen. Imagine what I could feel sitting in this stadium, in front of such a sound and light show. The power of sound resounding through my whole body, my eyes not knowing where to look so as not to miss anything. The music-synced lighting, the circular screen that flips from vertical to horizontal, the massive 16-foot-diameter mirror ball that opens at the end, WOW. Fortunately for me, in addition to the tickets I had bought for the May 23 show in Montreal, I had won a pair of tickets for May 24 at the Olympic Stadium in Montreal.

What was it like being there? Put it this way... Afterwards when the concert had finished and the crowd filtered out, instead of mass hype like normal after a gig, there was a wierd serene silence and it was because everyone had just been on an unbelievably psychedelic mind blowing preception altering soul soothing shock shaken awe striking cosmic journey encompassed with surround sound and hair singe-ing lasers, explosions animations robotic hogs and glitter balls then almost suddenly.. its over, finished. You go out and your back to reality in London, the difference leaves you dumbfounded wondering, WOW! Did that really happen? That to me was the reason I had to go again...four times! Greed i know but.. come on, I've loved them since 9yrs old so yeah four times was justified in my book. And you could tell the people who had seats near the front.. they were the ones with cherry red faces and no facial hair 😡 😉

That venue cost them 98 million dollars in 1994 money!! Also that venue earls Court in London seats 19,000 which they sold out 15 nights in a row!! When Pink Floyd announced a tour people would leave in the middle of their own weddings to go stand in line for tickets and I'm only half kidding there!!! Yes I watch this show from Sun devil stadium in Tempe Arizona and they opened with the song astronomy domine which had a real drawn-out heavy Bass and my whole body vibrated from inside out! My thirteen-year-old daughter was with me and she was terrified when that happened and I looked at her and said this is how it's supposed to be even though I was surprised!! It's settled her down and she later told me thanks a lot dad you've ruined all future concerts for me taking me to Pink Floyd for my first concert!! She was partially kidding and also all her friends were highly jealous and still are even though this was 1994!! Seen Floyd four times in three different decades and every concert of theirs is the best concert I've seen. And I've seen 100 concerts from ACDC to Led Zeppelin and everyone in between alphabetically and although some of those concerts had unbelievably great music there is no concert I've ever seen that could come close to a Floyd concert!!! They immerse you inside the sound by surrounding you with speakers and pushing 230,000 Watts of power into their show production!!

You doing full screen videos is rare over not getting them thru. Surely all should appreciate that..... I do. Most have to do very small video squares to have a chance to get the video thru or the see-thru video format or come kind of trying to hide all the video. Yet you got it all thru full screen
