I don’t mind trying to figure stuff out in the game but they make it so damn complicated with this arts gen type thing I don’t mind having certain mechanics in game as long they are explained and they make some sort of chart for this. image trying to figure out what unit arts gen stacks with another units arts gen I’m not gonna be on GS for hrs trying to figure that shit out that’s why I said earlier they should have some sort of system that tells you which units arts gen stacks with each other so it’s not complicated especially for new players

Anytime you mentioned what art type a character is, I was so confused, I always mentioned something about it in your comments nobody was able to answer me. Now I know thank you so much, I've been playing the game for like 10-12 months and now I know.

To be honest, as a rule of thumb and for simplicity, I just categorize Art Geners into 3 types: Grand Summoners Original Characters, Crossover Characters, and Fen(s). Some characters do go against this like Yusuke not stacking with other crossovers, but if you look at the Art Types lists, the most common Art Geners can be categorized into those 3 general basic types.

Great video just to start off. I just got back into Grand Summoners and at the time I had someone helping me out but it's very much was a give a man a fish sort of deal so I am highkey lost lol. This is helpful but right now my team is Aspira (The art is Hina hina I think lol) Saitama, Fen and Tatsumaki. In a team like this, I am guessing the two geners would be aspira and Fen? While saitama gens himself and same with tatsumaki? Also again, Thank you LOL. I have been watching your videos to try and get an idea of how to play the game again and it's hard to find information videos for this game. Your channel has been goated so far

Can you do one for equipment? I find it harder to find out which equips don't stack with each other.

I believe all equips stack with each other except for duplicates. So you wont be able to stack 2 Keions together or 2 damage buffing equips. Same thing goes with items that give enemies debuff effects. Ex: Milim's Clothes has an Arts Gen Over Time effect. If two are used at the same time, you will only get one of the times Arts Gen Over Time effect, not two. BUT if you used Milim's Clothes with Melty's Dress then you will get both of their Arts Gen effects. However, you can "stack" instant effects together even if they're dupes, BUT only the instant effects will work if the item has two effects on it. Ex: Priestess Robes has an instant, burst Art generation effect and a Heal Up buff to all allies. If you used two of the robes at the same time, everyone will get the instant 30 arts gauge but only one of the Heal Up buffs will apply. If I'm wrong feel free to correct me, but I believe that's the jist of it! Definitely a lot simpler than Character Arts Types.

What i don't get is the difference between the groups like why is B diff from A and so on. All the chars are seperated into two main groups burst arts gen and arts per sec that one is easy to understand. Idk where all these diff groups come from

He forgot to explain a bit more but stuff like type F( mizuki 12th and illya for example) require some sort of condition to be met for the art gen to reliably work, like all allies need to be above 50% HP, regular Berwick has a burst and over time for a specific element being fire, so any other unit that does the same but for a different element will overwrite his. There's more but it's too long to type.

It's just a different way of saying who's Arts per Second effect can stack with another effect. Someone like Fen is in Group A, so he cannot stack his arts effect with other Group A Characters.

They really should implement having those details in-game because they can be confusing if you're new to the game. These arts gen types play a major role in balancing the game as well as making team-building much more fun and complicated.

I have a good question for you man! I was fortunate enough to get Sunroku/Falco/Revali but am now wondering if his art gen will get in the way of WG Fen and Hart? OP, what do you think? If WG Fen is A, Hart is B, then what is the Birdman? Also, who to use for that last unit? I have lots of characters and am using the fire girl twins right now, but is there something that would work better? I hope you see this message and I will go and drink some water right now for good luck! 🤞

There is a few signs, the only ones that are hard to tell, is if a unit is an ex group or type A, most of the time they're type B or type E( most collab units), you can tell if a units art gen is type F if it requires a condition to be met, or to not be in a status ailment or something like that.

As he said in the video Priestess gives BURST Artgen so she has no problem with stackability. Sagiri is type E how is Written in the List if you haven't seen her.

For stuff like type F you need to meet a condition of some sort to get the art gen ( allies must be above 50% HP for example) EX3 includes passive art gen effects like dark Riviera's passive and diablo as well. Honestly idk the difference between A and B tho it's probably just to "balance" units out.

I think units that provide the same kind of Art gen determine their group. If there isn’t a group that a character follows, they create one. This game is a bit of copy and paste for characters but they are getting more unique due to awoken characters meaning the groups will increase.
