I think they may be partially inspired by the "Three moirai" from greek mythology aka three old/young women named Clotho Atropos and Lachesis who basically controlled the destinies of men by knitting a tapestry with each thread representing a human life (Amazing video as always)

I remember when I was about 5 and was staying my grandparents' village house. We were having dinner and I misbehaving. My grandfather looked at me and said "If you don't listen to us baba yaga will come and take you". I didn't believe him and kept misbehaving. "Alright then I'm going to get her." he said, stood up went into the basement of the house (which is probably the scariest place in those old village houses). He then came out wearing a baba yaga mask and covered with a black cloak. So what i saw was a 6' tall scary woman coming out the basement and looking at me. Never misbehaved again! (The mask looks quite a lot like the face of the Weavess, it was made by my great-grandmother about 60 years ago.)

As much as I wanted to kill them, I have to say that the mystery and horror of the Crones really disappeard after that. I liked them through the Bloody Baron questline because of their creepiness, but alas that was gone when I got to fight them.

Gaunter. He is a nigh-omnipotent being, who Geralt can only manage to barely outwit. Even then, Gaunter promises to come back and his precise nature remains a mistery. Meanwhile, the crones are not only subserviant to the Wild Hunt, but Geralt and Ciri slaughter them with little issue.

As powerful as the Crones are, they are insignificant compared to Gaunter O’Dimm. As far as I know, he’s the only being capable of manipulating time, and is quite possibly the most powerful creature in the Witcherverse.

OKAYGUV Bear I said I liked it, your cadence and “deep” nervous voice was awful. I hope those things aren’t as you wanted it. It’s criticism, take it if you want to improve your videos, but you sound offended dude. Why are you so emotionally attached to this and be honest with yourself and say I stunk a year ago. I’m bored and got nothing better to do, thank the pandemic.
