What is a message? Is it an object? Can it be a file? Can it be a picture? Is it some kind of json with metadata(implicitly an object?). I cannot understand and I see messages literally everywhere. Kafka, Rabbit etc..

It can be any of these things. Anything that can be serialized and deserialized, and many objects can be. Strings can be. I wouldn't send a whole bitmap, though. I'd send a location of that bitmap instead.... a url, file object, or string. Hope that helps.
