I’m a concrete flatwork finisher, and am very very interested in HRWR products, but due to my own inexperience with these products, have had some negative experiences. I am looking to achieve high strength concrete, and pour it at a high slump. Somewhere in the 6-7.5” slump range. Every time I order a HRWR, we get a very very sticky mix, that is actually more difficult to place than standard water tempered concrete. I have my suspicions that the plant is not using this admix correctly, but I am also aware of my ignorance, and understand that I am probably the one who doesn’t understand. They use master glenium 7500. I have requested them send my truck at a 7” slump. What I received was a sticky 4” slump that barely traveled down the chute. Am I asking for the wrong admix? Is there an admix in existence that will allow me to pour a very easy to place 7” slump with no added water? Tearing my hair out over here. Thanks for the awesome content!!

Howdy Ben. It sounds like your RMX isn’t using the right combinations of admixtures and powder. What’s the best way to reach out to you?

You were really getting fired up to explain the relationship between SCC and MRWRs and poly-carboxylate super-plasticizers... and there was an edit... What did I miss?
