there's no specific premium or discount. It's a discrepancy in the return. The 187 you see is simply the price you pay for 1 unit. Percentage returns are more or less same.

I hold demat account with ICICI Bank but I heard Zerodha doesn't require any external bank's(icici) demat account to start trading..and I'm ending up paying annual fees to Icicbank unnecessarily...can I close demat account with bank and simply trade using Zerodha?

Yes of course. You can event opt for closure-cum-transfer, this way your existing holdings with ICICI can be transferred to your broker of choice for free. Otherwise companies charge a small fee for transferring holdings.

I wouldn’t mind it, but just 10% of India speaks English, on the other hand 44% of it speaks Hindi. It makes more sense to speak in Hindi and add closed captions.
