I recently reset and I got the exact same island layout as you! 🙌🏻 I’m super curious to see what you do. I love your entrance! After 3 stars I always tear everything down/flatten and then struggle to terraform/design. lol 🤷🏼‍♀️ I get burnout super quick and then don’t want to do anything. The struggle is real

I will say for flowers it can help to think of any of the ‘standard’ colour ones as more easily replacement- so not as much of an issue if you toss them all!

I still love doing dailies in AC I don’t know if I’m the weird one lol! I end up never building because my dailies take a lot of time and I don’t have that much time to dedicate to the game. Also it feels more accessible to me to grind for things, the designing part feels very daunting because I get overwhelmed by the endless possibilities and can’t decide on a theme (there are too many good ones!)

I hear "daily routine" and immediately quote FroggyCrossing's dialogue about it for her 30 day challenge :P For me, it's always checking the mail, looking for all the recipes (I have all the cooking ones but still have some crafting I haven't gotten cuz duplicates), deal with the money tree, go to the kiosk inside res services and pretty much let my Nook + goals dictate what I do. I love stacking various tasks cuz getting all those miles at once is super satisfying. The only NPCs I regularly talk to are CJ, Flick, Redd and Leif. Gotta ask- why does everyone hate CJ? Is it his "challenges" before you can sell him stuff? Or is it his whole social media shtick?

Love this cute simple video! And I had a hard time with catching a fly too. I had a few different trash around and then I dropped 3 pieces next to each other and finally caught one! So I recommend having a few dropped together to see if its easier for you also!

I found that my usual daily routine on my NT island has slowed down if not stopped after I was thinking and now doing a hard mode island. I'll material grind, money tree, remove weeds, money rock, shop at Ables/Nook's, kiosk and get my daily DIY recipe. Now I'll walk the island for a hour I just get burnout mid project and abandon it completely with no interest to do another project or finish it at a later date. I understand the struggle

I still need a few bugs & fish, so I would probably time travel to try to finish my museum. TBH, I haven't played ACNH for months at this point. The last time I logged on was to try to complete the June wedding activities & just couldn't stay motivated. I think about restarting my island, but I think about the grind when you're starting out, and I'm not sure I'm ready for that. I really, really wish the creators would have more updates planned, but I guess we're SOL on that.

If you place 3 or 4 of the trash items together, you should get a fly pretty fast :)

I promise you the fly exists lol. I’ve caught one but they don’t spawn too often. Just keep an eye out as you run by. Also the more trash you have the higher the chance of spawn. I fenced in a dump and put all my trash from fishing in it. Good luck!

I find that I don't play on my island for a month or months at a time, then come back and have so many ideas and have so much fun again (after all of the "where have you been!"s. I hate that part sometimes). Kinda hard to do that tho if you have an animal crossing KZbin channel 😢

It is sad that the game has gone down hill the fact we know there is never gonna be an update its like they got everything crammed in one game and that was that. I loved the download content maybe they could bring more items or download games. I also think it sucks that they never increased the size of nook cranny. Last one was 3 stories tall! The villagers are also not very fun to talk to it's the same thing. I'm currently working on replacing All my flowers with blue roses lol im just building up bells so I can figure out what to build. I'm not very good at designing layouts. I can do the builds but connecting them and making them flow is hard lol. How you play is how I feel lately on the game lol its all rather disheartening

new horizons is by far the worst game when it came to replayablity and feeling like the game could stay fun for many years. with the older games, making your own fun was a HUGE part of it. decoration was a problem to be solved, and not a mechanic handed to us, so it felt more fun trying to come up with more and more unique ways to decorate. once Nintendo ditched the 3ds, new leaf was easily modded -- and that open a WHOLE new realm of possibilities and playtime for players. the switch unfortunately won't be easily modded by the general player for years, and Nintendo did a terrible job at keeping the game fresh. it's heartbreaking as a long time ac fan ):

My dailies are selling a Raymond (I have Amiibo) to get bells through nookazon, swap peoples dreamies for my missing DIY’s, check Nook’s Cranny and Mabel’s and buy stuff, put together gift bags, weed management, do some terraforming, time travel to meet Redd a few times, collect resources, and play my wasp game net-less
