Living with chronic illnesses is always hard. I try my best to lean on my strengths and work on my weaknesses. While acknowledging some of those weaknesses are not going to improve. Thank you for sharing your talent with what energy you have. And remember your real fans will wait patiently when you need to take a break. It’s great seeing other up beat people in the world. Thanks for all you do.

Thank you so much for sharing this!!!! I have been following you, loving your music, and watching your videos for I want to say over two years, I never knew you had these. My wife has so three of these I have watched her struggle with these the entire time I have known her including the last three we have been married. You show what people can do who have these three illnesses. Thank you again for sharing this!!!! It means a lot to her and a ton to me!!!!

You get cooler and cooler. Thanks for sharing. As a paraplegic, my disability is pretty obvious. It's great that you're willing to share about your invisible issues. I'm sure it encourages others out there to open up about their own hidden physical issues.

One in 6 people in the United States lives with a disability. That’s so many people! We just often can’t see them in many. If more people felt comfortable being vocal, perhaps the world would be a more accessible place for all of us. ❤

I can sympathize with you on the arthritis side of this Allie.I have osteoarthritis in my right hip and my left knee.Doesn’t help when I broke my right femur which basically also adds to the pain of the arthritis in my hip.You’re a true inspiration as well showing that even though you have those illnesses,you don’t let it stand in the way of something you love

@@arthurchadwell9267 they’ve told me they don’t think I will need to have one maybe fir a few years year but if if gets worse before then I might have to.They had to put a rod connected to my my and hip to help it heal as far as the hip replacement goes I’m all good for the time been

Thank you so much for talking about your chronic illnesses! I, too, have 2 invisible illnesses and it's a strange kind of relief to know that the people that inspire me, artistically, can also be going through the same troubles I am. It helps me take a little of the pressure off myself and put it into things that actually make me happy.

I think it is brave of you to come forward and speak of your health issues,I also have a few chronic problems, so a lot of times returning to the my bed to rest, watching you clips, has helped me,be entertained and cheered me up. Agreed. Sometimes people ask why I talk about my illness so much. I let them know it’s just me talking about my job. Taking care of my issues is a full time endeavor. So just like they talk about their work day I’m just doing the same.

I have chronic epilepsy, A heart problem, Chronic Asthma and other invisible health issues so I sympathise with you Ally you are a very strong young lady battling your health issues, I was a drummer but now can't play after a bad seizure permanently damaged my shoulders

I am disabled to a huge stroke. I have difficulty moving around. This has resulted in severe depression. I wish I had 1/10th of your bright disposition. As well as, the adjustments you have made to allow your exceptional abilities that have made you capable of playing such superb music! You truly are a beautiful person 💕

You have such a great attitude! Good for you - keep at it! When my dad was 30 years old, he was told that his arthritis was so bad that he wouldn't be able to walk and should get a wheel chair. My dad, bless him, told his doctor that he'd stop walking when it was no longer possible. He walked for the rest of his life!

I was home bound and unemployed for five years due to invisible illness for me Prednisone changed my life now I’m able to play guitar again with much less arthritic pain and I plan on learning the Bagpipes and following this channel. Don’t stop experimenting with protocols till you find one that makes a BIG difference.

Hang in there Ally… I am an RA, PsA, Fibromyalgia, RCPS chronic pain player…don’t like to say sufferer since it is what you make it to be!! Positive attitude, which you have is the best pain reliever!! Just had both knees replaced in November, things going well then had to have my gallbladder removed last Thursday…been a rough few months..!! Keep up the playing when you can, always makes me smile!!

Hey you're an inspiration. Both musically and mentally. I trapped my spinal cord in my neck , had an operation but could no longer work as a carpenter. I took up playing keyboards initially to relieve boredom now two years later it has improved my balance and finger movement and enriched my life in ways i wouldn't of thought possible . Thanks for posting interesting and insightful as well as inspiring.

You are very brave to talk about your illness. You are overcoming those limitations. I am a Piper, of which Maureen Connor was my teacher at Balmoral in Pittsburgh many yrs ago. I had Alaister and Norman Gilles also. Anyhow, I have sev. OA, polyneuropathy, and partial paraplegia w/c bound, so no more piping or marching. I can do practice chanter, clawhammer banjo, fiddle some, and learning cello. Never stop your music! You are very talented with a competitive ambitious spirit to continue your pipe dreams. You are also young. Keep on Piping!

I would just like to say thank you for helping to bring attention to chronic and invisible illnesses, and that age means nothing. My wife and I both have multiple chronic illnesses. She has been confronted so many times over using her disabled tag it makes me ill. More attention needs to be out there.

Thank you for your courage to speak out on these things. It gives other people like myself, with chronic and invisible illnesses or diseases, a feeling of camaraderie. That we're not alone. It's amazing how people treat you when they cannot visually observe your disease or illness. I'd gladly trade for good health with anybody out there who questions my need for a handicap parking placard. Bravo, my dear. Hi Aly, I have Rheumatoid Arthritis, I get sore and swollen joints, hands, knees, and ankles. I've had both ankles fused. Both hips replaced, and my shoulder replaced, and shoulder cuff repair. Bless you for playing and staying happy and beautiful ❤️ ❤️ ❤❤

I can relate I got fibromyalgia along with the whole line of other invisible disabilities and I just got to say that you are awesome and what you're doing is awesome and being someone who can be a spokesperson for somebody with disabilities you really are an angel. Like I always tell people I'm a be disabled but I'm not unable I may have to find other ways of doing things but that's just part of life. 🤟🤟❤️❤️😊😊😊

My daughter also has RA and EDS along with a multitude of food allergies (because of EDS). Glad to see you continuing to strive for your dreams. I have a pinched nerve in my neck so I do not play that often (bagpipes also) because I loose feeling in my fingers and can't feel if I'm covering the holes. I would love to see a video about how you have made your pipes easier to play (so I can copy). Thanks and stay strong

I'm 22 and just got diagnosed with RA a few months ago. As a culinary student it has made my life incredibly difficult and I've felt very alone since I'm "too young" to have arthritis. It's so comforting when people you enjoy watching the content of tell their own stories. It really reminds me that we're not alone in our fight!
