Yes, I agree that God has put governments to rule over us, and disobeying them goes against God. I would say though if the governments or laws tell you to go against God, you must not obey them. There are many translations because the book was translated from Hebrew to Greek and now to english, but a simple google search lets you find out which translations serve which purpose. Word for Word translations are: New American Standard Bible, English Standard Version, New King James Version. I don’t mean this in any bad way, but when I say you are being ignorant of the Bible, you are. You’re saying the Bible can be translated or interpreted many ways to manipulate people, (true), but this is impossible if people have the broader context of the Bible. The words still mean the same, nothing is changed because I’ve changed translations many times to find one that I can understand and isn’t translated into a form that loses the meaning. Your argument “change the meaning of the verses” does not mean anything, the English language has thousands of synonyms for every word, principalities is just an old English synonym of authority, like “governors”. The problem with the English language is that each word has connotations (feelings we associate with each word), so of course it looks like the meaning of the verses is changed to suit our needs! How else would it look to an unbeliever, it would look contradictory and downright manipulative but I am telling you, nothing of the verse meaning has changed, and the book is still good. If the book wasn’t good, why would I continue to read? I stopped reading books halfway before because I couldn’t stomach the plot, but this book reaffirms to me, through proverbs, through Job and Daniel, Romans, Matthew, Corinthians, 2 Kings, Daniel, Revelations that this is indeed a prophetic book. It only takes digging on google to come to these conclusions.

Your question is answered. The translations only serve through 4 different meanings. Word for word (form equivalence), Meaning For Meaning (closest natural equivalence), Thought for Thought (function equivalence) and Retelling (storytelling, usually for kids). But being a person who has read through most of these translations due to my adhd, I wasn’t really satisfied with some so I had to google the best translations and they are not different at all. They are only different if you don’t have a grasp of the English language and can see the similarity between the words (principalities, rulers, authority, governors. All of these words mean the same under the context of the Bible, but the connotations of each word would suggest different meanings, governor would remind me of a state governor, ruler would be a king, principalities reminds me of monarchs with individual rulers, like feudalism structure)

What years of research have led you to this conclusion, some KZbin videos ab why the Noah’s ark wouldn’t work, when the story of the Bible is that all things work if you trust in God (I can do all things through Him who strengthen me), maybe it’s just the “fantasticality” of the book, which means you didn’t read the book with an open mind. I’ve done this and my faith grew exponentially when I let people who study the Bible for a living explain it to me, and then when I cross reference these “analyses” with others, I find a similarity. Sound doctrine indeed, but the globe on the background is the fly that destroys the bottle of precious ointment. It is a strategy of the devil to present good things so our trust is gained, than subconsciuosly is put globe-earth propaganda. How subtle!

So God allready defeated Satan....but Victory will be His at a future date....many people will die and suffer before that day comes . Are believers driven by their unconditional love for their creator who they cant see...OR...Their fear of beeing tormented for eternity ?Human pshycology suggest its the lattter.These are the questions I had to ask myself..
