Great interview! He gave a lot of insightful information. It was very helpful. My name is Jason Anderson, I have been following your channel for some time. I am a recruiter for foreign companies hiring in Pakistan. I think Osama's resume format is great. It is well organized and much better than a lot of resumes we get from candidates in Pakistan. However, I do not think his cover letter helped him obtain his current job. The cover letter is filled with spelling mistakes and uses language not commonly used in English. It is also very poorly formatted. I would recommend googling cover letter templates to find good examples that have proper grammar and vocabulary.

Hello Jason, I appreciate your feedback and will definitely work to improve my writing skills. As a humble request, can you please share a cover letter template that you deem suitable? It would help me as well as the viewers of this channel.

@@muhammadosamaarshad The resume format was very good and I am sure it got you noticed. Here are a few pointers for the current cover letter: - It is not common practice to include the time zone within the cover letter. - The phrase "good company" is not used in modern English. - Avoid abbreviations such as I'm (this is a common mistake and not a big deal though). - Your first paragraph had an unnecessary line break. Generally speaking, using justified paragraph alignment looks better but it is not required. At least ensure there are no unnecessary line breaks. Formatting is very important. This guide has a number of good cover letter samples: hwpi.harvard.edu/files/ocs/files/hes-resume-cover-letter-guide.pdf Always always proofread! I also encourage candidates who are not native English speakers to join English language subreddits or forums. Ask others for advice. Ask people to proofread. You will get a lot of free advice! People are generally helpful. Employers generally change expectations when hiring in a country where english is not the first language however having a well-formatted cover letter will really set you apart!
