I agree, plain old web languages, and still many people will say otherwise but - wordpress, imo C# with its blazor html templates will come on top at some point when a solid cms will be built, with some kind of theme installer

Honestly, if you really want to get a job in larger corps, go for Java, C#, JS or python, golang is an option as well cuz its getting popular in some niches. PHP might be handy in some fields but stay away from it if you want a decent career.

Yes, they are coding languages. Not programming, but coding yes. Also, I don't think he said it would be easy. We all know learning to code isn't easy and neither is landing that first job. All he was saying is that these languages give you the easiest path to becoming a developer. EASIEST, but that doesn't mean easy.

@@ruleaus7664 mate... neither html nor css are coding languages. You don't write "code" at all. You write markup in one, and you describe it in the other. You don't "code" Now, that's not to say that they're not needed in conjuction with programing languages(aka coding languages, not sure why you're implying there's a difference), but they're just not it. And php is neither easy nor sought after. There are better options for either of the characteristics nowadays. Landing the first job is harder with php, not easier, and doesn't even come close to being the "easiest"...by a long shot

@@Seekingtruth-mx3ur from what he said, I'd definitely swap php for something else... if we're talking web development, C# or Java are great languages for writing a server(that communicates with the front-end made with html, css, javascript) If we're talking desktop app development, C#, Java, Python, C++ If we're talking games, C#, C++ If we're talking quick utilities for data analysis, web scraping, stuff like that, python is great for that Both python and C# are modern languages that are great for learning, and have plenty of things they can do. PHP however, is old and cumbersome. It's only barely a thing because wordpress exists. Don't get me wrong, 10 years ago if you knew php you'd be well off... now, not so much

Laravel will be around for a long time. It is the most important framework in PHP and one of the best regardless of language. Anyway, you are safe with Laravel because even if it died ... you would have mad skills because you know Laravel.
