Interesting choices. I'm 7 months into the game and already got Marceau and Napoli but your choices are correct. Also, I used the resource coupon already, so going after the Somme, although can be very expensive coal-wise because of RNG, might be a better path. And then, your choice of Iwami isn't a common choice, but I do appreciate this BB: lot of potential and good economy as you point out. All is all interesting video.

hay mate, just noticed that on youtube, the game is listed as wows legends for the ps 4. if you set it to the pc version, your vid might be easier to find. also, i just bought myself a scharn 43!

I'm questioning the Somme pick, only because it requires 60 units, at 3k each, that's a 180k in coal. BUT, you're going to get a fair amount of "repeats" in the collection. I don't remember with the Somme collection, but many of them were 2, 3, or even 4 to 1 to exchange for the one's you need. If it's 1 to 1, it's probably a good deal, but if not, you might buy the Black more cheaply.

Idid reset my account, and went rather first for all the special captains instead of ships first..I think in the long run it is better and will definitely positively impact your games with those captains...

When I was starting to get into the grind a bit more for Warships I started checking what ships people preferred from these video reviews and just watching some guys on twitch and after picking up my fair share of ships that just don't work for me, but were great for many others, I've learned that what is good for one or some isn't the case for all. That is very much true in this game as well. Not sure why I picked your comment to respond to with this but figured it was as good as any. I agree that having some special or unique commanders helps for some ships but it should be thought out so the commander unique skills work out for the ships you prefer and enjoy playing.

Love your choices. I think there is sinergy between coal ship, captain and country (you play most). Hence your first coal ship should be linked to the captain(s). You like to improve. But i do not see how you can put this in a vid so also a great vid🎉

What is the mod you use that shows all your currency (steel, coal, etc) in the top right of the port UI? Also, while I like the Jutland and Somme, I dont know if it is best for a new player because of the slower speed and the way the smoke works it is a little more tricky for a new player. I think Groningen is a slightly better t9 choice with a slightly more straight forward play style. And honorable mention for the cruiser I think is the Azuma. It falls into your t9 economy argument and is very easy to play. Napoli is the best cruiser for sure, but for new players they have to be careful, it isnt invincible like some seem to make it out to be. Cheers

I will make a mod video for this. I was also thinking of recommending Azuma for coal ship but its just the armor, that slightly makes it less recommended than Napoli otherwise you are pretty right on point.

@@uravgwargamer3300 agree the armor is rough, but it is easy game play with the range and fire starting...just sit back and farm fires and dmg. Napoli you need a little more map awareness and be able to use that smoke and shorter range. The armor def covers up some stuff, but it is a little harder to play IMO. Play style matters so much also for sure with these choices. Lots of good coal ships makes to good conversations around them tho which is nice

i got a Giuseppe Verdi from a santa crate and have been playing it alot, great for credits in asym. since i also play only secondary battleships(schilieffen/libertad) its very nice with the Italian smoke, deceptively tanky for pushing because of that. only thing is that it uses sap so u cant spread fires everywhere as easily LOL. and its acceleration is atrocious, i wish we can see that stat somewhere.

@@Dave_Allen Jutland is one of the best tech tree dd at t9. And since its premium, its not bad to invest coal for this ship at first. You can eventually get another coal ship later on.

I have all but 4 ships for coal in armory (Halford , Tulsa , Carnot , Z-44) , and if I start new account with knowlage I have I would take ships in order (for free for coal over years ) : 1. Jäger I is ez ship to play with high dpm , very good credit earner even without premium account & bonuses 300-400k take no issue , with green 700k is ez to make . 2. Brisbane , face it you gather coal & have little time to play that ship in co op will save you loot of time doing missions for dockyard or event . 3. Pommren great ship for ranked & assymetrica battles or other special modes , as Jäger earn loot of credits . 4. GK you have pommren you need to have T10 , you can train commander ez . 5. Anhalt as above , she is better that people think. 6. Scharnchorst 43 that is last piece in collection of German bb , with those 4 ships you are set and never again you will be despred for credits . Those should be must have 6 coal ships for now . Mine top 5 fun ships : 1. Jäger I love her , with Swirski she op like Benham . 2. Scharnchorst 43 who have it , know . 3. Blyskawica , I had no bad games on her . 4. Hill she is best "sealclubber" at T5. 5. Charleston premum St.Louis that I can for free place Helsey :)

Regardless, Napoli is a great ship once you have some upgrades on her. Don't expect great results and grind your way and spend enough time in T7 and T8.

100% agree , you just need to ignore that you have planes , I mine Kearsarge xmas 2022 I have payed full price in coal for her , and I had regrets at start because i wanted to make planes work , so I had few bad battles on her I quit her , but as I wanted to sell mine main account , so I looked option for T9 credid grinder that will replace Musashi on other account , and there was one of the special mod event , so I taked Kearsarge with secondary build I have not use planes at all , and that was grat idea because I had great battles on her :)

u4501 is the best sub in game for now check napoli is good but there are also other options like tech tree ships regarding somme i take neu over and over but iwami what the fuck is this better to take pommern one of best for clan rank brawl even in random it can push and give you income

Iwami is much better than Pommern The plating is similar but Iwami has a smaller superstructure so isn't farmed as easily HP is around the same It also gets a rather fast rudder You lose a few guns, but they're much better as they have 5 seconds faster reload to make up for it, 20 degrees better firing angles, superior AP penetration, 28 overmatch (which is a lot of t9 cruisers), much stronger HE, and did I mention you get 2.1 sigma instead of 1.5 Iwami also has higher hitting DPM on the secondaries thanks to the superior accuracy of them, and the penetration characteristics are nearly identical, both requiring IFHE to pen 32 with all of them, though without, Iwami can mostly pen 32 while Pommern can mostly only pen 26 You do lose 1km of range but the damage output is far better The torpedoes on the Iwami also do much more damage for when you need to do the yolo thing, plus they have 20km of range so they can actually be used outside of that AA is basically equally terrible, so no need to worry about that The only significant advantage Pommern has over Iwami is the hydro, making it marginally better is very specific circumstances, but Iwami is a far better battleship for most purposes
