I have a Michelin power pure sc rear tire. It is the best tire I have ever owned. Great traction, and the most comfortable ride.

Bridgestone S22's are a money purchase.

Yep, I bought the road 5 tires. Hard to beat for a all-in-one tire. I love them. I got 11k miles out of my road 4, so the road 5 should at least be the same. All that said, my bike does not have a lot of horse power or torque. High horse power and torque bikes may not do well with these tires.

Why is the review on road 5 in 2023 when therws a road 6 for 2023?

Road smart 3 is 5 plus years old, road smart 4 is a killer tire

What about the Road 6?

Is Road 6 now.

All this info is dated at best. Dunlop RoadSmart 4 (which came out in 2022) is Much better then 3, for basically the same price. DON'T get roadsmart 3 when Roadsmart 4 is better Michelin Road 6 is the new and improved update (that came out in 2022) and the Road 5 is discontinued since the Road 6 came out. Bridgestone S23 is supperior to the old S22, so don't pay full retail for a last gen tire. You Fu**ed up on 3 out of 5. I'd call that a "stay in your lane" situation. But what do i know. I only deal, ship and sell motorcycle tires for a living😅

This video has 41k views; sounds like you need to make a KZbin channel reviewing tires since you know what’s up.

I am fed up with 200x17x55 options, I have tried many brands & had 4 Michelin Commander 3's & usually get around 14k km's. Metzeler on the 21in front seem to last well, I don't ride hard like some but since 2006 I have had 27 rear tyres & the last rear Michelin was $500 fitted October last year 2023, the same tyre was $410 fitted in Feb 2022

Road 5 or City grip 2? Michellin
@drewyager4020 Жыл бұрын
The road 5 or 6 does not work for me at all. And I know a few other riders that do not appreciate the feel of that tire in anything less than a downpour. Try the Conti attack tires instead. The road or sport attack for the street

I feel comfortable on Road 5s tbh, can handle it pretty much the same as I do in dry, been in a heavy down pour and its been fine

Road 5?! The Road 6 are better as they claim 15% better grip and wear. You should redo your video because the Road 6's came out in January, 2022!

Both Dunlop and Michelin tyres featured are not the latest models. I get that they maybe better value because of that but you haven't made that clear in the video.
@C0lon011 ай бұрын
The Road 5 is completely different than the Road 6, the 5 is more focussed on handling while the 6 is more on mileage.
@trevorphillips305511 ай бұрын
@@C0lon0 That's rubbish, the road 6 is the successor to the 5. They are both sport touring tyres. Michelin are continuing the road 5 as it's a better value option for those on a budget. My point was that this is supposed to be the best tires of 2023 and some of them are not latest versions.
@MrZyLeXx10 ай бұрын
they can still be very different tires, atleast this has been my experience with michelin's car tires.@@trevorphillips3055

None of these will work on my Gold Wing. You should have specified Top 5 for bikes weighing less than 600 pounds since adding a rider or two will easily exceed the limits of all of these tires.
@Electric_camper Жыл бұрын
Not really. A GW needs Touring tires only. These are sport/touring.
@soujrnr Жыл бұрын
@@Electric_camper Your response doesn't make any sense. What do you mean "not really"?? None of these tires are rated for the weight of my Gold Wing. The title should have specified that the tires here are NOT for big touring bikes like the Gold Wing.

So you're telling me your land yacht weighs more than 900 pounds per axle 😂
@soujrnr Жыл бұрын
@anthonysimoes7307 - Ya. Good point. It slipped my mind that the weight would be distributed. My bad. It's been a long week. LOL Thanks for bringing me back to reality. Have a super week and ride safe!!
