Excellent video. Why don't they use more hopper barges? They're well dimensioned for containers, can help with visibility, and if there are multiple terminals to unload, you can simply drop off one of the barges and continue pushing the rest of the tow.

Do u mean a negative GM? There is nothing like a 'negative' freeboard.

@@SteeringMarinersSir, thank you for reply. What I am trying to solve is - 1000t barge loaded with 2000t of ore (density 5t/m3). Barge dimensions (40x12x6)m. Using these values I am getting SW draft as 6.1m which is 0.1m more than the height of the barge. I am working to obtain the GM of the barge, eventually.
