There are countless dupe houses out there, each offering something unique. I’m going to share my thoughts on a few of them and provide a quick summary of my impressions. While there’s still a lot more to cover, these insights will give you a solid starting point for Part 1.

Additional Thoughts:
1. They offer samples-a must if you want to avoid wasting money on full bottles.
2. Their fragrances have excellent performance.
3. High quality: Unlike some other houses, their perfumes have never caused me an allergic reaction.
Lattafa Perfumes
*Insight:* Often dubbed the “LVMH of dupes,” Lattafa boasts an extensive range of high-quality clones across various brands. One of their key strengths is their ability to capture the essence of luxury fragrances while maintaining an affordable price point. They’re continually expanding, with sub-brands that have cloned entire lines, like the Louis Vuitton collection. This strategic approach positions Lattafa as a dominant player in the dupe market.
Maison Alhambra
*Insight:* As a sub-brand of Lattafa, Maison Alhambra focuses on crafting dupes that are not just similar but often more potent and long-lasting than the originals. Their fragrances, like Sceptre Malachite, are known for their depth and complexity, often providing a richer experience compared to the originals. The brand is also recognized for its striking packaging that rivals luxury brands.
*Additional Thoughts:* They offer a good range of fragrances with a solid balance of price, quality, and accuracy. I also appreciate that the bottles are reminiscent of the originals.
Armaf
*Insight:* Armaf has built a reputation not just for cloning fragrances but for often enhancing them with superior performance. Their most famous creation, Club de Nuit Intense Man, is a well-known dupe for Creed Aventus. However, many enthusiasts believe it outperforms Aventus in terms of longevity and projection, making it a favorite even among those who own the original.
Oakcha
*Insight:* Oakcha is a solid choice if you need longevity. I have long workdays (full shift plus a long commute), and Oakcha fragrances last the entire time. However, they can smell a bit off during the first week. Oakcha’s sister company, Oil Perfumery, offers a similar experience, but as they are oils, expect a heavier base note presence. They project past arm’s length, and I’ve received compliments from people within range.
Dossier
*Insight:* Dossier excels in women’s dupes, though the men’s fragrances can be hit or miss in my experience. But if you’re a woman, you’ll likely find something you love.
DUA Fragrances
*Insight:* I picked up a few samples from someone who had them for sale for about six weeks, and they still smelled a bit chemical. They might need time to macerate. DUA is known for replicating hard-to-find or discontinued fragrances, like Chypre X and Lipstick On. These are rare and expensive fragrances that DUA has successfully replicated.
Al Haramain
*Insight:* Al Haramain is known for its rich, oriental-inspired scents that blend traditional Arabic notes with modern compositions. Their dupes are especially popular for Tom Ford fragrances.
Parfums Vintage
*Insight:* Parfums Vintage specializes in creating high-quality replicas of vintage and discontinued fragrances, with a strong focus on maintaining the original scent profile.

I rock with what you are saying mostly but first off this needs to be said, if you into fragrances you gotta be into it for you not what you think it will do for you, it has to be a pure love for this craft. 2nd is this, fragrances are for me a part of the human experience, and some fragrances although close cannot and do not reach the authenticity some of the nieche houses create fragrances and what the do to add to that human experience, almost like going to Bali or an exotic vacation. I do believe for some fragrances the juice is just not worth the squeeze in buying the real because it’s not a stand out fragrance but some fragrances cannot be duplicated no matter how hard you try, like interlude 53 or reflection 45 or jubilation 40 or jubilation 25 these fragrances are so well crafted and complex that you can try but it’s damn near impossible because it like art. Just my humble take on this

I ain’t buying a dictionary. I can get enough info from fragrance websites and forums. I’ve spent too much money over the years to know that all dupes aren’t created equal. Most dupes disappoint. I’m more discerning these days in my purchases and if the scent is too good then I’ll spend the money on the niche and “designer niche”. However if the DNA is something that’s found among the multiple brands and it’s a “basic bro” fragrance or a club staple then I may buy a dupe to save money

i got ramz lattafa silver bc it was at burlington and someone on reddit told me it was a JPG Ultra Male clone and was very accurate. I was so intrigued I got a bottle. I liked the JPG design too so why not. I’m not mad, but I’m telling you man… I wish I knew about dupes a lot sooner. Even if the 95-100% hit rate only being there 20-30% of the time (which even then, it’s higher). The JPG and Lattafa comparison did it to me. There are only two fragrances I see no dupes for and I decided to grab them. But besides that? I at LEAST look at dupes.

What dupers do is, by the fragrance oils for cheap, add an exuberant amount of DPG, mix base de parfum (perfumer’s alcohol), and sell it for less.
