I use the U Perms and now I am sad :( But seriously though, the regrips are rather annoying, but one thing you have to factor in is that slice moves are basically twice as slow as face turns since you're basically turning 2 sides at once. The low movecount and lack of regrips makes up for this though, but generally speaking, since the RU algs don't have a movecount twice that of the MU algs, they should be pretty close. I switched to these from the MU ones because I personally don't like M moves and will avoid them if possible, but all of them should objectively be pretty similar. One thing I would like to mention is if you use MU for one angle, you should use MU for the other angle as well, and vice versa.

if you dont use M moves, your solving will be limited like you cant the fast U perm, some OLLs, H perm, Z perm if you use the RU version of U perm, H perm and Z perm, just train at M moves and they will be very very fast

@@axolotl7486 I use RU U Perms, but for H and Z Perms, the MU ones are definitely the fastest, no doubt about that. The RU algs are also easy to transition to after OLL, since the vast majority of OLLs are RUF.

Tbh this video is all in theory, in reality I think RU uperms seems to be proven faster bcuz there's some video online showing they did it in sub 0.5 while MU uperms can only get like 0.5+ plus you can argue that MU uperms has regrip as well, u need to put your middle and ring finger under the m slice, mu uperms can be more dependable though since there's no regrip in the middle so you should be really consistent with your uperms compare to the RU ones
