No Vaseline Hit ‘em Up Ether No Vaseline was a nuke. 1 vs 4 and they didn’t even attempt to get back at Cube?! We all knew then for sure that Cube was their ammunition so that was a headshot Hit ‘em up was a massacre. Regardless of the beat…EVERYONE knows those beginning lyrics from both sides of the coast. Pac made you unite regardless of skin color at a time where that mattered! That’s power And ether I swear to this day made Jay-z have to call peace down the line. Nas is a street poet that’ll run circles on Jay. There’s only so much of Bigs and L’s lyrics you can copy left Hov The Bridge is Over is honorable mention cuz that straight up nearly if not destroyed that part of the city! On the west coast we play that song so it’s universal

Cube went against the biggest rap group at the time, NWA, by himself. Has nothing to do with an NWA movie. Just shows how out of touch Elliott is. That strong east coast bias. Cube left NWA on what he thought was good terms. Makes his solo debut, AmeriKKKa’s Most Wanted, and mentions nothing about NWA. NWA releases the 100 Miles and Runnin’ EP and took shots at Cube. They doubled down on it when they released Niggaz4Life and took more shots at Cube. They left him no choice but to respond on the Death Certificate album and he did so with the greatest diss song of all time, No Vaseline.

‘Back to Back’ had the internet hype is up. As a diss it wasn’t really that disrespectful. And Meek Mill came back bigger and better afterwards that aswell. He was in my top 4 at that time. Championships’ & ‘Win’s & losses’ were great albums. Ice Cube literally disbanded a entire group by himself. Kendrick Lamar just created some of the best displays of diss records all together aswell. Him and Drake had the biggest and best battle of all time. All original music and not wack beats and freestyles. 💯💯💯 That Drake ‘Scorpion’ album wasn’t even that good Elliot. @28:20 Elliot how u feel a way about what Cole did but you don’t feel a way when Drake can back out and not respond to Push, take a L and still have a album full of subliminal Pusha disses? All yall do is give that lame passes. 🤦🏾♂️🤦🏾♂️🤦🏾♂️

Elliot’s Cole take is juvenile. How are you mad at Cole for not wanting to be apart of something that Kendrick himself said had nothing to do with who can rap the best? Why can't anyone hold Kendrick accountable for the words that he said on control? Kdot said he wanted to body everyone he named on a song and take their audience. But every time he is featured on a song with Cole he either does the hook or sings. When is kdot gonna give that friendly fade to Cole? every time Cole shows up on a track he bodies it.
@YuhnahmeanFearon7 ай бұрын
It was about rapping better , u misunderstanding the whole situation . Drake has this habit of bringing up personal shit like someone girl all the damn time ,now for someone who is out here like drake if u taking it the personal route he never understood how vulnerable he made himself cos of how he is .. Kendrick said this meant to be a friendly fade but drake mentioned kendricks girl that then there's no rules to follow after that and he got smoked
@iDewThis4Yu7 ай бұрын
@@YuhnahmeanFearonand drake also instantly went to trying to pay for info on Kendrick… so basically Kendrick wanted to rap but Drake is a weirdo so we got this insted😂

@iDewThis4Yu exactly drake wanted to get info like he did with pusha now kendrick but nothing came back 😂 when u live the way u act like them 2 nothing can tarnish your name . 6.16 in la ain't the best record but the most important one in my eyes . Kendrick said he came back with no reciepts 😂😂
@wadingthru7 ай бұрын
@@YuhnahmeanFearon I'm not misunderstanding anything I know drake is the one pushing the gossip stuff. Drake said he would when control came out. My point is Kendrick said himself “This ain't been about critics, not about gimmicks, not about who the greatest It's always been about love and hate” So with that in mind why are you killing cole for not wanting to engage in something he knows isn't gonna stay to just rap. You hate how Cole backed out fine I hated it too but at the end of the day Cole gotta live with that decision. Like I said everytime Cole stepped on a track he shows why he is the best. Everytime Kendrick has been on a song with Cole since kdot said what he said on Control kdot has choosen to either sing or just do the hook. Kendrick said he wanted competition but has never went verse for verse with Cole.
@YuhnahmeanFearon7 ай бұрын
@wadegreen2912 first of all kendrick said that after drake made it personal if not personal it would of been trashing each other and making it more like battle rap in its very essence . Secondly hip hop has been based on competitiveness since the start it's always been this way . There's has been many battles that have just been about who has the better Diss toward that person only nothing to do with their girls , families etc . The moment j cole made that apology it showed Chinx in his armour that he ain't no real killa on the mic that we thought . All cole had to say on that stage was I love both and my heart ain't in it . Instead he made an apology that's what all the outcry is about its the apology not him taking his Diss back . Would nas be nas if he didn't battle jay and vice versa?? it adds a level of greatness by being competitive in a battle . Battle rap has always been a friendly fade . All the great have done it once atleast imagine them backing down from a challenge by apologising its soft
