WOW!! The Scotland landscape restoration is awesome. There was an American guy who bought wasteland somewhere in middle America and restored it to its natural habitat, and within a few years, it was alive with all kinds of animals. It went from a basic dessert to having ponds and green pastures. I believe it all started with the grass, which is unexpected. We need more people like these people

Dr. Aderin-Pocock's enthusiasm for stars is so wonderful and contagious. I love it! I use a great app on my phone called Star Wa;l 2 which shows me all of the constellations, planets. even the satellites, wherever I aim my phone. It has glorious graphics, and really pretty music if I choose to use the music. I just imagine sitting in a field as glorious as some of the ones that Tony has passed through in this series, with the good Doctor, and we enjoy the app together. That would be an honor! She's so wonderful!

Absorbing! I've now learned more of my British (in the sense of the whole island ) ancestors. Love this sort of thing. Having been adopted by German Americans, I didn't learn a lot about my ancestral homelands--Scotland, England, Ireland. I did learn about Germany--inevitable when you attend a German Lutheran school (I also have some German, though whether recent or more ancient I don't know.). They did take me to visit England and Ireland and I got to see some wonderful. Now, through KZbin and other sites I am able to do something of a "deep" dive into history. Thanks so much for posting!

Willian Wallace was not Scotlands Braveheart... "Braveheart" was really the story about Robert the Bruce who's heart was carried after his death by Good sir James on a crusade... Didn't turn out the way sir James hoped. A certain movie was not historical accurate. Otherwise I love these shows and I vote for a playlist as well.

Rebuild the historical towns closest to the studies made, where possible. Instead of using it as tourist attractions, get the willing people of the nation in study to inhabit the rebuild historical towns/places with the agreement that they live a life identical to the peoples back then during the visiting hours, to attract and inspire visitors. All whilst keeping good faith and kindness, without trespassing modern or all time laws. After visiting hours, the people living there for the "show", could start up their solar powered equipment and also promoting green echo friendly living. Thus it will bring back life to the historical towns and lessen the poverty most people of all nations face.

At 11:58 Tony says that William Wallace was Scotland's 'Braveheart.' Only if you're an American and all you know of British history is from movies or TV. Robert the Bruce was actually called Braveheart, not Wallace, and he gained the name only after his death. See this website that describes that event in wonderful fashion. harmsworth.net/scottish-history-heritage/1306-the-real-braveheart.html

@@kinahloce Then maybe this wall isn't exactly the best illustrative material for the claim that "it's roads that unite us" (46:00). Both the general statement and the experts' quotes are a bit spun in the direction as to delegitimize walls and borders. Indeed there was cultural exchange across Hadrian's wall, and yet it was a fortified border. During the video, we also don't focus entirely on this wall but on different interpretations of the landscape throughout history, especially after the fall of the Roman empire - something that may fit the "road" topic of the series but which is slightly misleading if you follow the main video title of Hadrian's wall. Ironically, even one of the experts makes nationalist remarks (17:33): So much for uniting roads.
