​@@Abin-e4y India's football infrastructure as a country ranked around 100th (current rankings 121st) in Fifa rankings is far better than Cricket infrastructure in Countries ranked 11th/12th which implies that Football is played professionally in much more countries, has more money involved globally and global spreasout of Foonall infrastructure is much better than that of Crucket. Infia's Fifa rankings show that zindia is not that good in Football. In India, free market forces dictate earnings of both Cricketers and footballers. Indian International cricketers and premiere franchisee cricketers earn much more than their football counterparts in India which proves that Cricket having garnered much more international success for India is much more popular in India.

Defence? The batters defend their wickets. Bowlers attack the wickets.

Bowler can miss wickets even if better doesn’t get a hit. You can take 3 runs usually after a hit. Fielding team have 11 player and 9 player doing fielding and 1 doing keeping or fielding but just behind bowler. And 1 player is doing bowling. Batsman team sent their 2 best batsman first. One face bowler. Other is on other side. If the both reach other batsman side. They score 1 run. And if do again, they get 2. After an over is end or a single bowler did 6 bowls. He can’t do again and someone replace him. In 20 overs, each bowler can’t do more than 4 overs. Usually they give fast bowlers 2 at starts to get main people out and than give them at end 2 overs. Can be changed with situation. After them spinner take mid wickets.

Actually baseball and Cricket have a common ancestor.. Its called gulli danda Basically means a spherical ball and stick It can be traced back to India It was a kids game.. ofcourse not with the modern day rules! Interestingly even Rugby or Football(Murican) can be traced back to India.. Instead of a ball it was the shirts/upoer garment tied up into a ball like structure...thrown around and tackled to acquire ot from the other player Owning to european colonialism they conveniently observed and took it back with them!
