Got my second does yesterday. Woke up a bit achy, tired, slight fever. Compared to the alternative, I do not mind one or two days of blah.

Im 77. I got the first shot vaccine November2022. No problems at all. Got the 2nd shot May2023 booster i guess. And i got sick immediately. Got fever, chills, bad headache, body aches, dizzy. In bed stiil after 2 days. Hope im better tomorrow.

Had severe facial paralysis, confirmed Bell's palsey Shringrix reaction. Onset within a week, progressive severity in symptoms - loss of hearing, pain in jaw, ear first attrbuted to possible ear infection, but rulled out after examination, imaging studies. Symptoms progressively worse, loss of taste, speech and hearing impairment. Put on course of anti-viral, steroids, PT and accunpture. No disclosure by prescribing physician, CVS or manufacturer of known side effects thereby denying legally effective consent.

My first shot I felt like crap for a day then fine. My second shot was much worse; I've felt sick for 3 days, fatigue, runny nose, cough, can't do anything. Hoping this goes away soon, I feel miserable.

About the same only been 24 hours good long nap felt better. You can take a Ibuprofen probably feel lot better.

My husband got the Shingrix shot (first dose). The next day he couldn’t walk, and now, six months later, he has a painful rash on his neck that won’t go away. He didn’t go back for the second dose.

Same thing happened to me…took first dose on a Sunday and two days later woke up and couldn’t walk. Had much weakness and malaise. Dr said he didn’t think it was the shot but I think it was and won’t take the second dose. I’m a nurse and have taken care of a few patients in varying stages of Guillain Barre Syndrome

Had a small outbreak months ago. Got shot one in Dec of 2022 then got # 2 in 03-27-23 Holly molly, fever, aches, high blood pressure, stomach gas bloating, rash around shot location. Two days of grief...It was worse than my bladder cancer chemo infusions...sheesh. But it's gone now. Blood pressure is back to normal. Only rash bumps still pursist, with slight itching.

Age 37… have had shingles on 5 separate occasions. I received the vaccine and it knocked me out for 24-48 hours. But I’ll take that over getting shingles again.

I am a 53 year old male pretty healthy. I got my first shingles shot about six months ago and was miserable. I was weak. I was fatigued, bodyaches, chills, joints hurt it was miserable. I got the second shot three days ago just a soreness in my shoulder and was tired that evening.

Better than getting shingles. It is brutal. I have had patients where it has even spread into peoples eyes. And the pain level is 10/10. And you can get it and get it again.

This shot sucks. I got the 1st shot 5 days ago and my body is not taking it so well. Makes me not want to go for the 2nd one. I feel awful. My lungs feel some type of way. I hope this passes. Doctor that gave me the shot told me n y to be surprised if I did react as everyone’s body is different. This SYCKS. I may need to call out from work. I can’t sleep as laying down is so uncomfortable.

I had the 1st shot atound my 55th birthday last fall - within a half hour I was weak and my face went numb I had waited the requisite 15 minutes at the clinic and now was driving - barely made it home - 2 days straight in bed with horrible muscle spasms particularly in my calves and hips - the spams were similar to childbirth contractions in magnitude - chills - and numbness in face- with a strong metallic taste in my mouth the fatigue was like feeling drugged never have felt so awful in my life and I’ve had Covid twice and H1N1, I’m in 🇨🇦 so going to the hospital could involve hours and a day or so of waiting to be seen. My husband checked in on me hourly. The experts always say it’s safe which it probably is for most but to feel like this is unacceptable to not have any warning to prepare and make an informed decision. - I won’t get the booster. I’m very healthy and fit but I felt like I was possibly going to die after the shot - I cannot endure the this again. I am traumatized.

You may get shingles if your immune system is low or you suffer from high stress. In either case, take immune lifting vitamins like B,C,D. Or eat foods high in those vitamins. Cut out sugar and lower carbs. I wouldn't go near a vax

I haven't had a reaction to a flu shot 💉 or multiple COVID vaccines like I did with this Shingrix shot 💉 (and within two to six months, I'm supposed to have another one - 🫡)?!? I just started with a new doctor and he just informed me at the appointment "You need both a Shingrix and tetanus shot today!". I'm not necessarily subscribing to the "anti-vaxer" mentality, but the prescribed & mandated (during the pandemic) vaccines are starting to give me pause! Sorry - didn't mean to reply with a novel 📖!!! 🫡 ~ Glad to hear you are better! I really hope you didn't have any longer lasting side effects ... ❤️‍🩹

"Typical" side effects. Whoa! These days that would be death or some things near as bad. Debilitating strokes, cardiac issues. Funny part is as a 50 year old it seems like a new subject. You would think after this much time on the planet I'd have known what a problem it is. Sure, I've heard of it. I know maybe 2 people that have gotten it. Both hated it and lived. They've gone on to lead completely normal lives. Both would probably tell you the price of groceries will impact them more in the end. I guess this is the age of vaccines and gender confusion. It's whatever they decide as long as you buy all this crap.

I just got my second one. I had developed shingles last July, and trust those of us who have had it, the pain is bad. Yes, I am feeling a little unwell, but do not want to get shingles again.

I am in my early 50's and decided to get the shingles vaccine since I saw my grandfather struggle with shingles on his head and in his eye. I didn't want to risk having shingles and after getting the vaccine I had flu like symtoms for a couple days. Six days after getting the vaccine, I felt strong pain in my back and ribs in the front. I didn't know what this was, since it felt almost like a bruise or muscle strain internally. That night, I saw the beginning of a rash on my stomach and side. I was able to reach my doctor the next day and she informed me that I had shingles. I was prescribed the shingles medicine and am now dealing with the pain and discomfort of having shingles. I am supposed to get the second dose of the vaccine but I'm seriously reconsidering it to avoid another outbreak.

Just got the shingles vaccine 2 days ago on a Tuesday . That evening it felt like I was getting the flu. Started with real bad muscle and joint pain. Couldn’t get any sleep Tues night. My bones were in so much pain. My hips hurt laying on my side. I even felt strange chest pain. More like my ribs were so sore. I had stomach pain and a bad headache. Miserable. All day Wednesday just took Tylenol. The muscle and joint pain was what I felt most. Then the headache! It’s not Thursday about 4am and some of the body aches subsided a bit but not my back and hip pain. When I stand up it feels like I weigh 500 lbs! This headache has been the most bothersome since yesterday evening. It’s so painful and I’m doing headache exercises and pressure points but nothing helps. This has really scared me about taking that 2nd dose! My stomach pain, spasms too in my breast started yesterday. Absolutely horrible and all these symptoms have induced my anxiety to almost a near panic attack. Hoping everyone heals from this vaccine with no prolonged symptoms.🙏🏼❤️‍🩹

61-year-old fit, healthy, non-smoking little-drinking male here who had his 2nd Shingrix shot yesterday at 11 am and the 1st one 3 months ago (no side effects from that shot). It is now 6 am and I slept 3 hours last night in two batches. My arm started to get sore around 6pm yesterday and I have pressure in my noggin at the front which started about midnight last night - it is more like blocked sinus pain than a headache and strong enough to stop me from getting a good snooze. Got the uncontrollable shivers three times last night starting at 11:30pm. I had Shingles 5 months ago and got over it in 1 week but the nerve pain was terrible. Having experienced the pain of shingles, I am glad I had the 2nd shot and would have paid 10 times the price I was charged

UPDATE: that sinus pressure headache turned into a nasty normal headache a few hours later. A couple of Panadols solved that. The bottom line for me: the side effects lasted less than 24 hours.

I’m so so sick from this. Happy 50th to me 😢 I had shingles twice. Fever of 104 this am. COVID got me exactly a month ago and this fever is worse. Hearing test results were not good. I was surprised!!

74 here. Doctor suggested it, I had the childhood measles, mumps, chicken pox, it was the fifties after all. Every kid I knew or had some sort of social contact with had something going on with one or more of those illnesses. First shot just a sore left shoulder where they injected it. Later had the second shot. Initially nothing unusual, then later an odd sensation, like a tiny insect or two or three walking on you, but nothing was there. Then later intense itching over on top of my right foot. Thought maybe some sort of foot fungus, felt tiny little bumps that itched. Treated it with over the counter medicine, not much effect. Then it started where the injection was and then past the inside in front of my elbow. Tiny pinhead size blisters by the hundreds that itched like crazy. Sometime they’d burst and I’d have to wipe with a tissue and apply a triple antibiotic lotion to avoid infection. This is what I am battling right now at the writing this. Made a doctor’s appointment, but I’m pretty sure I’ll have to ride this out. No headaches or other symptoms noted. Frankly think the shot was a bad idea, but my doctor encouraged the idea. This is what I get for trying to be a good, obedient patient….

Ive been experiencing leg weakness when Im walking and I’ve been having muscle pain more and fatigue and almost had a fall from walking my legs almost gave up on me at work.. ever since I received the shingle vaccines my bodyache and its been 4 months ang i’m still getting leg weaknesses.. muscle pain everywhere..

Arm slightly sore at the vax site for a few days. Nothing else. No aches, no fever. Very similar to a covid shot for me. Second shot in a month or two.

I’m 41 and just got shingles on my thumb joint(radial nerve). Let me tell you this sucks. Pain from neck all the way down my arm to my hand. With a painful rash.

@@bentrinker1937 yeah do it. My kids are vaccinated against chickenpox. My Dr(veteran affairs) wouldn’t give me the shingles vaccination because I’m not old enough. I think it’s bullshit as I already had it.

I have small itchy knots under skin, red dot, i hve another place with knot about the size of quarter. i get a new dot every day after a week, but the dots and knots fade away after 3 days. 90% sure its shingix. I also had pain at injection site and sleepiness. The itchy dots seem to be random all over body. I am not super concerned, just letting you know becuause i could not find this symptom online.

Please don't get Shingles I just turned 65 years old .The hardest part I have to eat three meals a day to take my medication.Methylpredisone and aclyclvir.nystatin ointment, Motrin.Meal, medicine,sleep,pain😢

I only had the first shot. I have shingles. The shot gave me the worst outbreak ive ever had. Literally the day after the shot the breakout began..last 2 months and even left a few scars which it never does

Got the second shot, and experienced severe nerve spasms about an hour after the shot. Lasted about 24 hours. Under the rib cage and around to the front, making it hard to breath during them.

Three full days have passed since receiving the Shingrix vaccine, and during this time I have had nausea, vomiting, and now explosive diarrhea. I do not think it is a fluke norovirus but rather gastro-intestinal symptoms from the vaccine. Having had shingles, I wanted the vaccine, but this is no picnic!

I had shingles at age 14. Not real common in young teens but I had it. No treatment for it back then so I had to let it run its course. It was not fun. I just received my second dose of the vaccine. Very swollen and sore at the injection site and some minor aches and pains. Had hardly any side affects from the first shot

I dont know what the hell happened to me but now I have to go to Nuerologist! My entire arm was in excrutiating pain 2 hours after shot! I couldnt move it for 24 hours. Went to urgent care next morning they highly suggested Nuerologist. My entir arm still 2 weeks later is in persisitent pain and sleeping is unbearable. No more Vaccines for me just a horrible experience

They’re always sayreport any side effects… the pharmacist just shrugged his shoulders..so did the dr. Within 20 minutes of the shot i got violently sick..almost didn’t make it home…laid on the floor of the bathroom with ice packs on my head… everything in me liquified…. I thought i was having a stroke… came down with shingles 2 years later…. After 3 years still suffering from nerve pain

I'm 38 and getting over shingles. Its was painful, but with the antiviral it hasn't lasted long. I don't think I'll be getting the vaccine anytime soon. But also there are side effects to everything some severe and some not, just do it at your own discretion.

did you ever get the 2nd shot? I had the first and it made my tinitus extremely worse. The perceived ringing in my ear was so bad. After a few days it got better but the Tinitus is still way worse than before the vax. I will not get the 2nd shot

After two days of receiving the vaccine I was on the worst journey possible. I must have, had, and allergy to the vaccine. Really I cannot stress strongly enough for you to check that you might have an allergy to thhe vaccine.

First shot two months ago, nothing. Second shot, my arm ached from my shoulder blade to my elbow, fever, two days woke up in the morning slick with sweat. Ibuprofen helped a lot.

Any pain med is rough on kidneys, always drink decent amount of water with any pain med. I suggest magnesium cream before bed nightly to supplement even if you don't have shingles. It's also a pain cream... p.s. no one gets enough magnesium

Wow, watching the rash starting to recede within three days and completely vanish within fifteen did it for me, I just used what I talked about and although it actually took 20 days, I barely feel the pain anymore. I just go'ogled Kaena Ramingler's Shingles Solution and it feels like I hit my body's feel good reset button.

I got both shots; my shoulder was a little sore for a few hours, so what. My Father had shingles on his face- he was in terrible pain. My sister also got it before the vaccine. I've been getting the flu vaccine for 30 years. I also got the TB shot; waiting on the 2nd Covid booster
