Hi everyone! By request, here is my new video about the top 10 traditional Colombian dishes that you must try when you come to this beautiful country! It was impossible to put them in perfect order, so please let me know your top 10 in the comments below. I'm pretty sure my number 1 was right though, wouldn't you agree! If you have any requests for future Colombia-related videos, drop me a comment below, I'd appreciate your suggestions 😀

Watching this one again. Darn, it's almost midnight here and I'm getting so hungry watching this video. Man, I really miss Colombian arepas! Da kine. Most of the ajiacos I've had I helped make (and consume) while back in the States, but of course they originate in Bogotá. And the packets of dried herbs that are the secret to an authentic ajiaco must come from Colombia. You also really need the various special varieties of potatoes from Colombia, but you can fake it with potatoes found elsewhere. In any case, I'll be dreaming about Colombian cuisine tonight. Cuidaté!

As Colombian born citizen, this vid makes me feel pretty proud and a kind of emotional, cuz out here in Northern US, you don t get lots of Colombian restaurants, something very homesick.

Fun video - short and sweet. I’ve been to Colombia seven times, and have spent solid time in various areas, so it was cool to not know a couple out of the ten, or maybe not remember the exact name. Thanks, Ben! You really killed me bringing food back in to the picture.

Thanks so much for the very kind comment. I hope the video brought back some good memories of Colombia for you! Sorry to make you crave the food hehe. I might have to make a part 2 to this video because it seems a lot of people are interested in Colombian food 😀

@@AbroadWithBen One other food to consider would be the amazing plethora of jugos (juices). I was absoutely blown away just about everywhere in Colombia with the fruits and the juices. I always ordered the ones with no added sugar. No need! Cheers!

GUACAMOLE, though delicious, IS NOT COLOMBIAN. We use ají. Guacamole and salsa may be offered in Colombia now bc of Mexicans that have moved here AND due to tourists’ expectations bc they’re used to Mexican cuisine.

He never stated that the guacamole originated from Colombia he was just saying that it is a common topping. Btw I’m also Colombian😅

@@AbroadWithBen Ben, I d be more than happy if you brought out a vid about Cali's gastronomy, in honor of the city where I was born. I hope you go there someday , long time I don't visit it 😢😢😢

Hi. I really appreciate the suggestion! I still haven't been to Cali but it's been on my list of places I want to visit for a very long time! Perhaps next year I'll be able to visit, and I'll definitely check out the gastronomy scene as well as the city's attractions. It's great when viewers give me these kinds of recommendations because it helps me discover new things and places that I might not have gotten to discover, so thank you!
