Among those removal of unnecessary regulations is land reform and labour reform. Even with majority BJP burnt its hands in Land reform. Labour reform is a gone case.

@@rajx7120 it's already the state govt that handle APMC mandis . The problem is that nexus between rich and big farmers in state of Punjab and Haryana, as even though both states do not witness much rain the most harvested crops are rice and wheat. The farmers bill had its own flaws but it would at least allowed the farmers to get in contract relationship with food corporates. That's why I supported it and was utterly disappointed when govt withdraw it. Today centre gives money to state as they procure crops from farmer though some states give extra money above msp like CG , the problem with APMC are many but most is corruption.

@@rajx7120 I don't which Utopia you are living in but let me give a reality check. Currently our total food production of grain exceed by around 50% of our need unlike da or oil seeds . Don't underestimate the state of Indian farmers , my family is only general family in my whole st sc block , mostly dependent on agriculture, so I speek from my own experience that their condition are worse than that of the paper world. How do you think mandis are made , most are made around large procurement areas like main city of district. Put your hand on your and think that how many of these farmers can even afford to go their with their own expenses? Hardly one tenth of they are willing to bet on it. The question here is financial feasibility 1- After state procure enough for their quota how they deal with the rest ? They just don't buy it or don't open many mandis in first place. 2- What do you think govt will do with rest of grain (believe me it's much more than you think)- sell it at loss to corporates that's what happens. 3- Just for how much time govt would be able to afford this much loss when we need more fiscal consolidation as well as I'm hoping for a surplus budget. 4- my belief is that MSP is not solution cause govt doesn't have endless money to simply to put in , farmers have to move away from grains to oil seeds or dal or other capitalist crops like tea .

Minute 9: on increasing demand/consumption and employment, it being a complex issue it would have been better if options available were divided into very short, short, medium and long term for better understanding of common folks. Similar principle applies to typical economic terms that are not understood by common citizens, e.g. ‘factors’, so while mentioning factors, names of factors at least a few may be mentioned. Let me acknowledge that after coming into this role TCA, you did undertake a kind of simple foundation course for people, but for those who aren’t economic students it would be better that parts are repeated once in a while.

Politicians and govt can't create jobs. Only businesses can. Hence, businesses should be supported not treated as criminals. UPA was guilty of actually crony capitalism, when they evergreened loans, and hid bad loans, while the crony promoters siphoned off money through shell companies. But same people, maliciously blamed Modi for loan write-off, in which it was banks that received money, not the corporates.
