#3 sounds about right. He makes it seem like I hurt him and was the problem, but he did it to himself. I'm a loving and kind person, so I was still willing to extend a hand of friendship (with stronger boundaries this time) but he rejected wanted no relationship whatsoever. Kind of annoying that he seems to not want to take responsibility, but that's his own battle he must face.
