Pile #1: Believe it or not, we've been thinking about each other for 44 years! We have a long history but we each married different partners. I never stopped loving him but I was too young and got scared by the extreme differences between our cultures. When I went back, he ignored me and kept ignoring me for the next 39 years until just a month ago when I found a Friend Request from him on Facebook. It was such a shock to me. At first all the old feelings came back to me full force, but I responded to his request with a message and he didn't respond. Pile 2. I’ve been going through a breakup for 5 months now and the way things ended with my ex was not on good terms. The part when you said that I might’ve reminded my person of the things they need to heal from really shocked me because prior to our breakup I admit I was quite forceful when I wanted them to open up to me about certain things about their past and they weren’t comfortable talking about it and pushed me away, I thought they could trust me, but I realized they were not ready.
