What are waves? fear of waves

Hello. Dream Fishing.
I went kayak fishing to the West Sea.
Today's sea current was 12, so the current was not strong, but I could see waves that I had not seen before, perhaps because of the wind.
The swell caused the johnny boat to capsize,
Fortunately, there were a lot of people around, so we were rescued quickly.
