As Minecraft Player, I don't understand why this movie isn't Animated. I don't think live action is going to work for a movie like this especially based on a video game like Minecraft. But I'll watch it anyway since it is one of my favorite video games. But I don't really have high hopes for this movie.

It's directed by Jared Hess (who did Napoleon Dynamite) and I am getting a bit of a "Robert Rodriguez kids movie" vibe from it. I think campy silliness is the best you can hope for.

The thing that upsets me the most is the choice of music. I just... i dont understand. Minecraft already has its own music, what does The Beatles have to do with Minecraft? It doesnt even fit the feeling of the game.

Yeah, I am definitely a fan of some of the folks in this... but not sure if it's enough to save it. We shall see though. I'd love to be surprised and be wrong on this one. As always, I don't want things to be bad! lol At the very least, I hope it finds an audience that enjoys it, even if I don't. lol
