The military would typically look after our interests off shore, exceptions being martial law through civil unrest or emergency cover like fire control or ambulance driving to cover strike action . Police are supposed to protect us, hence why we contribute to policing through taxation. The fact they seem to work against us is a puzzle and a paradox.

There is a massive issue with policing in general in that the people doing the job are not suited to the mental and physical demands. Couple this with an increased distrust of police and you see the large number of people leaving the force or going on long term sick/stress leave. In Australia for example, Queensland police is so short staffed and has few new recruits coming through, so much so that it has cancelled a number of new intakes. To recruit new officers it is offering an up to $20,000 sign on fee to any existing officers coming from interstate. Similar schemes have been offered in then U.S., including Florida, where the pay is less, but you get a sign on onus and a political/judicial system who support police and punishment for criminals. Victoria police in response has started looking at failed applicants and lowering its standards of entry! (See Date County, Miami in the 80's to see how that turned out for them!!!). What is evident in many of the Auditors videos is a lack of ability to interact with the public, either being too aggressive, disengaging or just stumped at a basic conversation. You will never gain the public's trust if you can't engage with them or speak down to them. Is this the result of their insistence of a minimum university education to join the UK police service? Academically smart (maybe), but ZERO life experience.

Add to that the failed gender quota for the Q'ld Police academy intakes, which resulted in females being given false exam passes for law and physical tests so that the quota was maintained. I have not heard of any of those females being dismissed from the Police.... They are also chasing immigrants who are not Australian citizens when they are sworn in, and the fact that they are Police will be used to get a shortcut to receiving citizenship. Almost unbelievable.

In reply to your question, both the driver of the cop car and the driver of a car coming round the bend car would be at fault......but the biggest fault would be the driver of the car coming round the bend. A driver of a moving car is always, or at least 99% of the time, at fault in a collision with a stationary car (or any stationary object).
