93 block for gold paint patroller makes a difference in my experience for connecting on chase downs vs silver. I have two big builds and the 93 ovr one is the one I use for 5s, the 88 for park.

My build has gold and I played with only silver unlocked for a while and it felt like my interior defense was literally non existent. After getting gold I did notice I would get a couple of blocks here and there that I would never get on silver. But I will say that interior defense just sucks in general in this game. I have 82 int d with 93 block at 7 feet tall and I just get scored on all the time at the rim. Hands up defense does nothing and even timing the block still doesn’t work most of the time. I’m hoping they patch it and make it more effective because I feel like block might be a stat work ignoring for the most part and just use points elsewhere. I don’t want to make another build just to change that tho since I did spend like $75 on vc

83 O 80 D on my 6’8 232 lbs SF and there have been multiple games where I’ve had more boards than the center. Many players neglect that stat so it’s easy to sneak in boards. Also my vert is 80 which helps.

For anyone wondering, driving dunks are pretty worthless after 83 if you’re a guard that’s shooting.. I’ve gotten more contact dunks and insane dunks through traffic on my 6’2 with 82 Driving dunk and 65 vertical, than my 6’4 PG with 93 driving dunk and 78 vertical. Do not waste your points on driving dunk past 80-83 unless you specifically want dunk packages on a pure slasher

If you plus 1 Rise up you leave rebound chaser/boxout at HOF … would save that for second set of breakers if you play enough. I’m at 92 standing 99 board, +1 for rise up HOF is nasty build

I’ve been using my +1 on set shot specialist because I think it’s good value from silver -> gold. I have 99 perm and 99 steal and I'll be honest I freaking love his defensive recovery. My sharp however that has a 99 3pt I'm disappointed with where I feel I shot better with 94 3pt and when I used cap breakers to get 99 it's horrible and completely different

Rhythm shoot and switch to high risk high reward. I have a 93 3pt and a 50 mid when I was shooting with the button on normal risk I wasn’t confident at all and I was shooting like 30 percent from 3 now I’m shooting 47% from 3 and that’s with me playing with randoms 90% of the time,taking bad shots and chucking up shots even when I’m in a slump I could easily be at 50+ percent if I actually cared you gotta find a release with an obvious pull back to your face I personally use Tatum bcuz his set point is so obvious and consistent

I would say say steal by far in the last 3 2ks an I don't even fill my steal up an 99 3 for non ball handlers with no more than 86 ball handle so mostly small 2 guards cause it be 10/10 basically from 3 off catch an ball movement an sprinting to 3pt line with communication even in rec a point guard with 99 3 can be slowed up with locs spaming an doubles in space where arrows not pulling you or 2k freezing you in free throw line an below area rebound definitely over powered this year thats how it should be way to many offensive rebounds in past 2ks defensive rebounds are back in 2k25 i got a clippers paul george it feel like I play my 3 roles to defense shooting creator shots an spot up terrific

I noticed once I got my gold paint patroller, I’ve gotten more chase down blocks and blocks in general. When I had silver I basically got none. I still get scored on a lot because interior d just sucks. Hands up does nothing so you basically have to time your jump correctly to have a chance

Height would affect the attribute weight. Like at certain heights, you may get more value from a 99 rating. In game play? I honestly doubt height makes a difference

Not sure for steal, tho I’d assume yes cause ur players reach is longer. as well for defensive contest taller heights tend to get animations over shorter ones even with good ratings n badges on shorter build . My 6,9s with 94-95 int D still get bb’d by taller builds. I get stops but it’s still underwhelming imo

I used my cap breakers from 94-97 and used two points else where I could of went 96 but as far as 2k tutes and 2k lab a 97 is a good value to 99 as far as shooting make percentages it’s not to far off 96 is closer to 95 so I went off of that i dont know if anyone needed to hear that
