@@Graceclaw yes unfortunately Rublev is struggling a lot recently (more than in the past) and obviously it’s what people see the most because it happens on court. It’s a pity because there’s so much more. For example he gave up on his sponsorship with Nike (= a lot of money) to launch his own brand and give the 100% of the incomes to charity for children in need. He’s a good guy

@elisamaltese4820
@elisamaltese4820 3 ай бұрын
@oatsgoats39 I don't think it's about that, it's also about the learning methods used at school, which are different in America. Also, the concept is generalised here, of course there many Americans who know a lot about philosophy etc.. But you can't deny that Americans are generally(!!) more superficial than Europeans, it's also a matter of history. And lastly, no one is feeling superior here 'cause I'm neither from America or eastern Europe and the teaching methods are not great where I live.
@fleurdehivers
@fleurdehivers 3 ай бұрын
@@oatsgoats39 well, Dorian Gray is not part of the curriculum in Russia (it wasn't for me in Italy, not the main Literature class-though we also had English/other foreign languages Literature as part of those classes). In all likelihood, Khachanov will have searched the book out himself. Does the average American athlete read Tolstoy or Dostoyevsky for pleasure? Or Pushkin, Chekhov, Gogol, Bulganov? I'd be surprised if they did, but if Fritz and Paul are anything to go by, the problably don't.
