Did you expect an instant championship? It takes time for a rookie to settle in and for a team to gel. Mark my word, the Fever could not have made a better draft pick. They have some talented players and with the addition of Clark they will become a real force in the WNBA. Maybe not as soon as some want them too, but wait and see what happens in another season or two.

Evidently this site didn't watch the last game!!! CC is brilliant, but she's being handcuffed at crunch time by a coach that's in over her head.

I believe people will call for the Fever coach to be fired. She’s not deserving/qualified.

Caitlin is like a spitfire. She handles the ball with ease and mastery. She is like Curry of WNBA. A terrific hot shot and ball handler and ball distributor. Hooray to Caitlin Clark... 🎉😊🎉❤🎉

The coach is an idiot. Do you think she realizes she has the goose that's going to lay the golden egg! If not, she's going to wind up like Mark Jackson!
@Marty46503 ай бұрын
Clark is what they call a "franchise player." She makes everyone around her play harder and play better. Just like Michael Jordan did for the NBA, Clark will do amazing things for the WNBA. Unless the refs let the thugs break both her legs. But she couldn't do it all by herself. Both Boston and Mitchell have stepped up and the team is starting to gel. I bet they sell a lot of tickets this year.

Look at that crowd. I've never seen a packed arena like that, and my team used to be the Championship Monarchs in Sacto. We never packed 'em in like that. Very cool.

A. Boston could be the luckiest woman in the WNBA. She has benefitted by having Clark as a teammate just as much as the league has benefitted. If I were her Clark would be my best friend for life. It's so nice having a guard that throws her dimes left and right and Boston is great in the paint.

She is unselfish and will give more assists to every team member. That is worth a lot of points.

For me I feel like people just need to practice more.. Instead of 500 in an evening, make a personal goal to have 1000 shots be just a warm up .. all those wemen can be ELITE level.. countless times has it been proven that most of this just boils down to what happens off the court.. You'd be shocked how many of these athletes started out wanting to do something else but saw 🏀 as a means to get out of a situation... Psychologically it makes sense but those are the ones who don't perform well. As soon as I heard what Caitlin Clark used to do in her bedroom 🛏️ and how much she dreamed of being in the NBA I knew exactly what separates her and many great wemen athletes from the rest.

Lets look at the facts: Reese had an excellent game. Carter had an excellent game. Why? Smith was dominated by Reese in every aspect and was struggling. What did Sides do? (Notice that I did not say Coach) Absolutely nothing, zero defensive adjustment from start to finish. Mitchell got owned by Carter. What did Sides do? Again, absolutely nothing, zero defensive adjustment from start to finish. They have a bench that is actually good and could be excellent with playing time and experience, but no, we can't have that in the game because they might actually play unselfish ball and make Clark the true leader of the team. Instead what we have is Mitchell taking the majority of the shots. Mitchell is a good player, but she is streaky at best and is not the one that should be shooting the most. Then there is Wheeler, why she ever see anything but the bench is beyond me and anyone with eyes and knowledge of the game. Yet, in the 4th quarter Wheeler has control of the offense (absolutely disgusting). Instead of relying on Clark and have the ball in what is supposed to be a franchise player we watched a 15 point lead go down the drain. That is completely inexcusable!! Clark is by far the best player. Look at her numbers even though she is being handcuffed by Sides. The 3rd quarter alone shows that Clark has the teams best interest. She has a basketball IQ that is unrivaled. Her and AB alone destroyed the Sky in the 3rd. Fire Sides NOW! She shouldn't be coaching a pee wee league much less in the WNBA.

Jordan got alot ofhard fouls and it took several seasons before the referees started protecting him...to a degree.A better example would be Pistol pete.A fan favorite he was sent to an expansion team that could not win and soon after blew out his knee.He was getting paid 1 million dollars ayear.The other players were getting 1 hundred thousand or less...jealousy? U bet.

@ramonpunsalang33973 ай бұрын
It's two steps forward and one step back. At times they play in sync then lapse into individual play. Obviously, the chemistry needs more work and the coaching has been inconsistent. Caitlin has to be more assertive, as playmaker, in communicating with Coach Sides on what works and what doesn't.

@Marty46503 ай бұрын
You are probably right. This is a very smart woman, and she has the talent to play, and then someday coach, and eventually own a team. She will have a long career in basketball and will end up in the Hall of Fame unless some injury cuts her career short. She is exactly what the WNBA needed to get on the map.

The players don't know how to do a pick and roll, and the coach doesn't even know what a pick and roll is. The blind leading the blind. Time for a REAL coach ! What the hell are they practicing in the gym?
@WhySoLoud3 ай бұрын
yes, WNBA teams should watch the guys NBA game films THEN compare (whatever the hell they call) what they are doing. CC obviously grew up playing REAL ball with the boys. Her opponents lead-foot walk through the game, open paint, no defense whatsoever. Sure makes it easy for CC to rub their noses in it.

I could watch the three of them for hours .... they are not a well-oiled machine ... they are a trio with the same mind .... they are fun to watch ... they are not ball hogs or hate filled players trying to outdo each other ... they are teammates ... instead of worrying about their " Stats " they all work for their team win ... I am in my 40s and have never been to a basketball game ... if they come to Missouri I want to be in those stands ... gotta add this to my bucket list :)
