Right now,today, Caitlin clark is the most famous basketball player on the planet and she is only going to get better. She also got superstar SWAG and like no other.She is also very smart,a MULTIPLE ACADEMIC ALL AMERICAN College student who being an extrovert is amazingly comfortable with the very brutal media.

Hardly. LeBron and Steph Curry are far more popular than CC is.

@gregrizzo8054 CC22 is going to embarrass Steph and klayy at the all-star 3pt.contest. we soon gonna find out who the better shooter is.Got my money on Caitlin smokin both of them.Can not wait. A whole sold out arena gonna be smiling.

@@Dean-v2y You wish. She shoots a smaller ball and shoots 2 feet shorter than the NBA line. She has no shot against SC30.

You may like it or not, but Caitlin Clark is in a class by herself. She is clearly a generational player, if not a once in a lifetime. Get over it, and it has nothing to do with privilege. Get over it. Nobody in the history of the sport has the game changed as a result of 1 player. Deal with it. Defenses have had to redefine themselves for her, and they still couldn't stop her even covering her from the moment she walks in the building, let alone full court. Aja is not CC Paige is not CC JuJu is not CC The girl from ND is not CC (sorry, name won't come to me) Sabrina? Kelsey? etc. etc? NOPE. And that's only on the court. Of the court, she is filling seats, record viewership, swag (merchandise) etc. is off the chain. AND . . . . . .. . .. . AND She is a new phenom in the WNBA, not wanting to fight every 5 seconds. Get over it, she's like Tiger Woods who brought golf to the modern world, Chris Everett redefined tennis, etc. these people changed sports. Deal with it. and grow up. stop your terrible twos tantrums.

Caitlyn Clark is the main reason anyone is currently talking about the WNBA during the holiday season.

This should shut up the Old Guard once and for all. CC only the 4th WNBA player to receive this award while all the others that have been in the league had the same opportunity they just were not at that same marketability.

Thank you! Yes, I wrote the song. I wrote the earlier version Rookie of The Year and only played it on the video honor CC getting the award. I decided to rewrite it and release it as Athlete of The Year because it was more fitting.

Biggest star in all of sports at the moment… I can’t think of anyone with more star power.
@gregrizzo80542 күн бұрын
I can think of 50. Start with Steph Curry and LeBron James. Tiger Woods barely plays any more yet he is far more recognized than she is. World wide Messi and other soccer top soccer players are far more popular than she will ever be. I appreciate your enthusiasm for her and enjoy watching her play, but she is far from being the biggest star in sports. In Women's sports, for sure, but not against the top men.

How does AP female athlete compare to Time athlete of the year?
@swisharcc2 күн бұрын
AP is a 93 years old award that was established in 1931 to recognize outstanding athletes from across the world for their achievements in sports. Time Athlete of the year was established in 2019 to recognized the accomplishment of athletes who have mad a significant impact in sports and beyond.

She is more like Tiger than Jordan. Tiger got people who had never watched a golf game to sit through whole tournaments. Michael revitalized basketball but Tiger practically invented golf, at least if you weren't a white middle-class or higher man.
@swisharcc3 күн бұрын
I agree 1000%. She is more like in getting people to watch. She's more like Michael in her pushing of WNBA and women's basketball to greater relevance and level.

I was so tired of pro ball until CC came along. She has brought insane skill and a sense of joy back to the hardwood which has been missing in the NBA for years. She deserves all the accolades she’s getting, and then some. (And the idiots who run the WNBA *still* have no idea what to do with her.)
@johnlund20362 күн бұрын
If the WNBA had not been so jealous and fearful, they could have done like the women’s golf association and had their “stars” associated with CC, they would have gotten more publicity and been received much better. Instead, they looked annoyed, angry, and petty.
