Yea I'm an electrician and work with threaded rod all the time I thought the same exact thing. He should have spun them on the shorter side first then stuck the rod thru for the other side

Good idea. Only problem is you must use stainless hardware. The galvanized coating can make you very sick.

I have never seen an aluminum "keg" like that. But then I don't drink. (42 years sober April 2019.) #1- Where are they found ? #2- Seems like a lot of work because that aluminum is going to burn out pretty fast with the hot coals directly on the aluminum, isn't it?

1, it's not aluminum it's thin steel. 2, popular in north America late 90's but some brewers still sell them. 3, agreed, way too much worh for a flimsy bbq that won't last long.

Die Farbe macht den Geschmack bestimmt nicht besser. Wahrscheinlich verzieht sich das Blech und brennt schnell durch, außerdem ist es scharfkantig. Der Aufwand ist auch ziemlich hoch. Also ich würde lieber einen Grill für unter 10€ kaufen. Aber prinzipiell ne tolle Idee.
