Great to see combat vets supporting Miles. When we glorify war and mislead the public, it's the troops who suffer.

What was it like to smoke weed on a deployment?!

The movie hit me hard man, I ended up watching with another Marine I served with and we both remember some shit we saw around the smoke pit late one night....seeing combat footage is never pretty, there’s nothing beautiful about it. But damn, what a movie, mixed emotions for sure, I wouldn’t share this with my parents but my friends who are serious about joining (a little late to the party but whatever) but my family already tread carefully around me because of my time in service. Great video man, Semper Fi

Used to work with Lagoze at 2d Mardiv Combat Camera, first time I met him he and an (unnamed Marine) walked into my room and said "Hey boot, can you drive us to go pick up some blow out in town?"

Alex Hill damn! Did you go into town? That’s so ballsy!

@@RegularVeteran Na didn't bring him. Got to witness his second NJP though. I remember when he first showed me that footage, shit was crazy. Haven't seen the film yet so I don't know what he left out. But from what I've seen in the trailers, he hasn't left out much.

Alex Hill I was wondering if he got into any trouble while he was in or after he separated. Thanks for the reply!

@@RegularVeteran He got NJPd two times, each for drunk driving. Got bumped down to Private. Was funny as hell though because he rocked a monster stack and bc he had no rank when he wore his service uniforms or blues, boots would salute him bc they thought he was an officer. Dude was wild. Kind of a bleeding heart but a good guy deep down. Guy just had issues, probably before the Corps.
Why wouldn't you record what happened to you in a world away from normal? Especially if your job was to record it*. It* being people being over there. The more the government sues and suppresses, the more it appears its the normal over there. Miles did the right thing.

@@AlexGInf216R I mean the whole film is stolen footage that the Marines/military/government doesn’t want you to see. Kinda feels fitting to torrent it. 🤷🏻♂️

While I agree the film has a clear agenda, it doesn’t fucking matter everything got an agenda. All that matters is can you back up your agenda with solid information are not.
