It's so sad because you can see how hard he was trying to resist despite being Akumatized during Cat Blanc. You may think he only loves Marinette because he found out she was ladybug, but in the episode, he said he always felt something more than just friends. Even if he doesn't love Marinette "Romantically" we can tell he really cherishes her and their friendship that they have. Both Ladybug and Marinette are important to him, that's why when he connected the dots he really loved the fact that Marinette is ladybug

This is seriously so well made!!! This makes me want to cry... I remember when I first saw this episode I almost teared up because it was a complete nightmare to watch characters I have grown to really like go through this. The saddest part is that he killed everyone in Paris! His family, his girlfriend, his friends, everyone in the whole city. He even found out that his mother wasn't completely dead but with the power shut off he probably killed her too. And he may have destroyed far outside of the city too. And he was still akumatized, so he was just left confused and depressed and angry and heartbroken. Another sad part is that we don't know when ladybug from the past shows up, so he could have been like that for a day or for weeks or even months. Edit: From reading these other comments I just realized that I never even THOUGHT about PLAGG! I wonder if he went crazy too, or if it felt like he was trapped or asleep or something? Anyway that's scary and sad to think about too because he also had nothing to eat, and had to stay in that form for who knows how long.

Oh I hope so! There are already several nice theories about how he may return! One of my personal favorites is the theory that if there's ever gonna be a Sandboy 2, then that little dream demon might bring one of Ladybug's fears to life once again, only this time she's not scared to loose her power (I mean, she defeated him without her powers once already) but instead she's afraid of Chat Blanc! And honestly, who could blame her? She had to fight one of her closest friends, she litteraly saw the end of the world and on top of that, Chat Blanc was just straight up creepy and unpredictable! There's no way all that didn't leave her some level of trauma! I think this would really be one of the most effective ways to bring him back!

Cat Blanc will forever and always be the most sad and destructive akumatized person in this show. I felt so bad for Adrien when everything went down. His father is abusive, he keeps getting alienated from all of his friends, he can’t have a normal life… his father forced Mari to break up with him, which did break his heart, but it was finding out the truth about his father and getting beat on and having his mother thrown in his face that truly broke him 😔 he tried so hard to fight it and when the akuma took over my heart cried for Adrien 😭

Just imagine being all alone, and knowing that it's you who killed all those people who had lives... That you were the one who killed your true love.... Until now, that is😜 My theory is we're going to have a cat Blanc 2 in season 4, especially since Mr. Astruc confirmed that every episode of s4 is gonna be very emotional, like chat Blanc. Either way, I definitely think cat Blanc will return at least for the series finale... I mean, speaking from the pov of a writer, what more can be entertaining than characters just suffering in emotional turmoil?? It adds depth to the story. I think every writer is at least a little sadistic lol. Funny how I just talked like that about a show that's 3+ rated.

Even if it's only been a few months pure silence ( besides weather) no people ,no one to talk to.. he would clinically have gone insane with the large amount of regret and despair he felt- hell he couldn't even detransform to have plagg by his side. YOU SHOULD DO A NEW SERIES OF THIS!! Where you can actually show how Chat Blanc has been trying to fight off the Akuma and stay in control. OH! And maybe there could be a part where Bunnix goes to this point in time and tries to bring Chat Blanc around, but he starts to be possessed and he and Bunnix start fighting, and that's the reason that she goes to the present to collect Ladybug to help her! And maybe at the near end, Chat Blanc will slowly start to snap out of it and tells Ladybug/ (of corse pronouncing her as Marinette,) where the Akuma is and he breaks his bell for her, because he doesn't want to live like this anymore!
