if the sheikh can bring evidence from a known sunni book we would appreciate it, rather than lying openly about sunni beliefs. may Allah guide him, i used to listen to his lectures, now im not so sure

There are numerous papers written on how the ban on writing Hadiths corrupted the Hadith corpus (and thus Muslim beliefs and practices). As for how the expansion caused Israiliyat to flourish, it is also covered by many research scientists of both schools.

Assalamualaikum, I encourage you to look into the evidence yourself before determining whether he's lying or not. If something goes against your beliefs, it's not a lie by default. Watch a video with references and come to a conclusion. May allah guide us.

With some of those Hadiths, you don’t need to look hard to know they are false. Just use your common sense. Do you actually believe a Prophet selected by Allah(swt) would behave that way?
