I'm going to sound very harsh but after Sarfraz exit, Pakistan never was the team it looked like. In 2021 T20wc where Pakistan reached semis, although it had good bowling that whole tournament was toss dependent. In 2022 it was Netherland that helped Pakistan. Pakistan lost home test series against England, Australia and drew it against NZ. There were always fault line,they cracked more after time.

Srilanka won more trophies than Pakistan and were far more better when Jayasuriya maringa and sangkara were playing. Duckworth Lewis win vs South Africa, Sri Lanka dropped Sarfaraz's catch twice, England (the favorites to win the tournament) had one bad day. They didn't become a dangerous team after winning the CT.
