How urgent is it to seek treatment once the area of spider veins at the ankle becomes a solid purple color? Looks like a bruise but is not. By the way your video is very nicely done, easy to understand.

Not super-urgent, but it is an IMPORTANT sign of potential problems. Thank you for your kind feedback.

Muchas gracias. Excelente explicación. La corona flebectásica no corresponde a una simple C1 de CEAPS sino a una manifestación temprana de una CVI ya instaurada. Saludo y agradecimiento desde Colombia.

May i ask a question please. I have, spider veins and varicose veins on my right ankle. I have just started to experience pain in the inside ankle join with reduced range of movement. I live in Australia, so would you advise me to see a GP and get a referal to a specialist. I appreciate any advice. Thank you.

Can u choose not to also get a phelebectomy? If veins go down with evlt dont they have to be removed because there not straight?
@VeinCareAcademy
@VeinCareAcademy Жыл бұрын
Yes that is correct. Once the superficial venous reflux has been treated, the varicose tributaries do not necessarily need treatment. Many specialists wait and see after EVLT. In many cases the varicose tributaries return to a more normal size.

@@VeinCareAcademy I was recently told because I have gsv reflux and femoral vein reflux if I removed a aasv. It can cause more issues.Nothing can be done to help me. That if I went through a phelebectomy. I can have more problems. So there's nothing that can be done in my Case. Is that something you see in your experience

I cannot give you specific medical advice. In general, superficial venous reflux can be safely treated even in the presence of deep venous reflux.

Is vein disease the worst vascular condition to have? Just because the amount of treatment you need surgery and sclerotherapy?. Why is it some people have ulcers yet no visible varicose veins. And some people have really bad varicose veins but never got ulcers?

@@VeinCareAcademy oh, thank you very much. I have varicose in my left ankle and calf because of May-Thurner Syndrome. 2 years ago I went for a stenting procedure of my left iliac vein. But my vascular surgeon said there had been some problems during the endovenous procedure and he misplaced one of the 2 stents and is now in my vena cava in such a way obstructing blood flow from my right iliac vein and so now my right calf, foot and ankle are also filling with varicose even more than in my left leg. In my case does it help to perform endovenous ablation on both the GSVs? And is it possible to perform some scleroteraphy and vein stripping on the varicose in my calves and ankles before the skins becomes damaged?

@@VeinCareAcademy I live in Modena, Italy. There is a local vascular clinic called "Fleboxan" (it has a website) I am waiting 3 years to make at least one visit but they never bring me in. Do you know if there is anything else nearby no further than Milan, or is this vascular clinic "Fleboxan" just what I need?
