What Changes Should the Vols Make in the Bye Week

I’m old enough to remember the 1982 game against Alabama. It’s my earliest childhood memory of just how passionate my father was about Vol football. I was doing random things in my bedroom and suddenly hear a scream. I run downstairs to find my father jumping up and down. He had polio as a child which required the removal of his right calf muscle plus the muscle in front of that allows you to move your foot up and down. So jumping was NOT his thing. My mother is there looking at him like a crazy person until he finally screams “We beat Alabama!!” First time TN beat them in 12 years, plus Bear Bryant’s lasted year coaching

I think another change the staff should make is calling plays on critical 3rd downs that utilize RB and TE routes in the flat, after they initially block or feign a block. This is really hard to defend and was used a few times in the NC State game = TD's!

Hey Bull question if a team in the SEC championship game goes in at 10-2 and lose does that then 3 loss team get in the playoffs over an sec team with only 2 losses that didn't play in the championship or who gets left out if only 1 spot left? Thanks for your opinion in advance

I’ve been going through so many scenarios like that and I think it’s a combination of how they look in the championship game and comparing the two teams as 10-2 teams as well

@mattross9631 If they take the 2 loss that wasn't in the championship game it'll be like getting punished for making the championship game and losing teams may try to drop a game if they think they can get in the playoffs without being in the conference game it could get bad let's hope it doesn't happen like that

@mattross9631 I think in the 2 maybe 3 biggest conferences the 2 teams that make the conference championship get an automatic bid with the winners getting the byes and losers hosting a playoff game
