The gospel was in Ancient Rome from the time of the disciples: James wrote to the tribes abroad in Ancient Rome, which is how the gospel spread so quickly across this part of the earth. The ancient Hebrews had long had a large presence in Ancient Rome: the first recorded expulsion of Jews from Ancient Rome is as ancient as 139 BC. They were again expelled in 19 AD, and later the Apostle Paul encounter a Hebrew couple fleeing Ancient Rome yet again (the expulsions never lasted long). This establishes where the tribes were abroad, and explains how Ancient Rome, now modern Europe, became the primary exporter of the glorious gospel of Yeshua ha’Mashiach across the earth.

Calling a country that allows the same sex to participate in "marriage" and allows people to abort their baby because they want to, and allow people to destroy their body because they think they were supposed to be another gender (yet they think sex and gender aren't the same) is not a Christian country.

Why do you try to convert people from faraway countries? I suggest you abandon the outdated traditions of Christianity and convert to Mahayana Buddhism. Mahayana Buddhism has a savior similar to Christianity, but it has a carefully constructed philosophy that does not exist in Christianity, and it is relatively less likely to scare the masses with the fear of the Last Judgment or hell. Buddhism does not discriminate against foreigners or Jews. It does not command the killing of homosexuals. Westerners should abandon Christianity and become Buddhists. The minority who insist on believing in Christianity can simply pass on their traditions to their descendants on their own.

This gives me comfort knowing that the current issue that needs to be addressed is a lack of discipleship. I have been thoroughly frustrated with the American church declining in recent decades due to poor leadership and a severe lack of growth of those already in the church. I desperately want there to be a ravenous hunger for Christ among those who already have accepted him to develop a closer relationship with him every day, to learn more about his word, and to kindle a fiery courage for the unknown, uncertain, and probably dangerous.

Too many people trying to be chiefs and not enough trying to be indians. As someone with schizophrenia who hears voices I can attest to the confusion it causes when there are too many people speaking. There's a reason Paul said that not many of us should be teachers. People give their opinions as though it were gospel and unfortunately many who speak the gospel distort it to suit their opinion. It's sad that I even have to wonder if people have fallen away from the church for good reason. But then I also have to wonder if my saying so is just another voice adding to the confusion. I just pray for everyone, pray for Jesus to intercede, because I look around and see that so many people are lost and confused and I can't even blame them. Lord Jesus help us all!

At the end of the day there’s nothing to be discouraged about. Christ is King and sovereign over the nations and directs the course of history. Let us not forget, we are not building His church. He promised that HE is building His church and the gates of Hell will not prevail against it. Does this mean we, as servants of God, just sit around and twiddle our thumbs? God forbid. However, some of us are called to plant, some to water, but it’s God who will make the increase.

I understand that the decline of faithful Christians is lack of bible knowledge, biblical illiteracy is very common not only the young, but even the older adults like 40, 50, and 60 years old. The secular world has a strong pull on believers, plus many are becoming seekers in something substantial to believe in and that has impact on their lives. Religious leaders need to teach more of scripture, the stories in the Bible. However, there will always be a remnant that learn and find the Christian faith. We need to invite each other to the different Christian denominations and see the common core.

I think Discipleship Making Movements are an effective way forward to try and reach the unreached. Legacy churches planting a church every once in a while won't get the job done because the world population is growing to fast too keep up with. The focus should be on making disciples who make disciples not churches that plant churches. Edit: spelling
@Grannycoop2 ай бұрын
Jesús already told us how not only to spread the gospel, but how to preserve it. He said “Make disciples “. Disciples aren’t made by people going to a building a couple of times a week. We, especially in the west must petition God how to maintain and support true discipleship and community in this increasingly atmosphere of isolation. Human interaction is crucial and not just being preached to. Hugs are crucial. Every Christian should be disciplining someone and be discipled. This is difficult,. Relationships are complex. But that is why we need to pick up our cross daily and rely on Holy Spirit. With God , nothing will be impossible!

That’s typical Protestantism. They have a huge blindspot for the first 1500 years of church history because their leaders instead want to start with their narcissistic denomination that started whenever. The leaders don’t want to be exposed as the false teachers they are and how they’d be condemned by early Christians. It’s crumbling because so many denominations can’t come to a consensus in how to interpret scripture, decadence is reaching new heights, little tradition or teaching to fall back on, and the abuse of narcissistic leaders, especially in high control groups like the IFB, NAR, or charismatics. I do give credit to denominations like the conservative Presbyterians who seem to take church history and church fathers seriously.

A massive portion of Christians feeling unprepared to go share the gospel is due to the fact that a lot of modern day Christian churches don't teach the full council of God. Previously when topical teaching first was introduced, it was in a time where the majority of Christians read their bible everyday because it was the only book they had to read with. Now, Christians don't read their Bible and churches dont teach all of it. I strongly believe if churches were to go back to expositional teaching, Christians would once again feel more prepared to go out and teach the full council of God.

The falling away is supposed to happen. Many people show up on Sunday for the convenience of fitting in. They don't really believe, they don't really care.

I don't think people will go to hell if they haven't heard the gospel, God will judge them accordingly to what they know.

A note of encouragement: Whatever you can do, the church needs. We need traditional evangelists, yes. We also need many more roles fulfilled. Everyone working together is what we need; not just traditional evangelists. So whatever you can do, it is welcome even if it's small.

I'm not saved yet, but I'm learning more and more. I know I'm not ready to spread the gospel, maybe I'll never be really called to, or maybe yes (God knows). So I'm getting prepared : I'm saying to myself: "Remember: Jesus is your pride", "Don't be afraid", "Don't be ashamed by Christ and the Scripture"... I think, one day, I'll spread the Gospel. My faith is enormous, I'm learning more and more. Be blessed.

The modern world is a mixed blessing. Information at our fingertips, unbound by geography, but distracted by technology. It’d be interesting to know how many people are leaving all religions, not just one for another. Then ask why? Are they not fulfilled, or has their experience been uninspiring? The truth of the gospel leaves no one uninspired, so maybe dismantle the centuries of denominations and dogma that has stifled the message. People need an encounter.

My POV is: The churches are not discipling their people, so they do not disciple in turn. So people get bored and leave the church. However, many are meeting in homes off the "grid," so to speak. So there's that.

I thought there's no compulsion in Christianity? Discipline them so they won't leave? Really?

The map is inaccurate. The gospel spread to modern day Sudan and Ethopaia between the 1st - 4th century. I'm not sure why that was left out. The middle east before Islam used to have a strong Chritstain presence....

I am a son of a Pentecostal Assembly of God minister. In my life I went from being a PAoG member to being pagan, atheist, Roman Catholic, to currently a theist. I don't think anyone really know what waits for us on the other side. It's all a guessing game. You hope and pray you are doing good for the eternity. When someone dies and comes back from the dead I will know what to do. Otherwise, as long as you are a nice person to everyone around you, I like you.

Asia and Africa is the original home of Christianity. All the Biblical stories are based out of or revolve around regions in present day Palestine , Israel , Egypt, Lebanon , Syria , Iraq, Ethiopia (Queen of Sheba), and Turkey( that’s where Antakya or Antioch is )

I was born-again in 1978. The evangelical church in the USA has embraced the Justin Beiber concert style of worship with ear-splitting volume. I attended Willow Creek for several years, starting in the theatre in Palatine. Fun times for young people. But the entire church is now geared toward kids and young couples. Old people are ignored - especially divorced singles. As for doctrine, you either submit to what the leaders are putting out from the stage or you will be shunned. It's a very closed-minded social club. No love to be found. All the smiles are conditional.

Hi, can you guys recommend a video on unreached people groups (the basic concept)? It's something that I take for granted, but I realized that most Christians in America have never heard of this. Thanks!

The Scramble for Africa, and other parts of the world forcibly converted to faith, is a perfect example of why so many people today hold a distain for religion. It’s a crying shame that something that is supposed to be so good, can become so corrupt. I hope humanity can eventually get it right, whether for God or for one another. I found this video good and informative right up until the end when you said that all of these people are going to hell for not believing in your God. What a shame.

No matter what country you are in, parents make their babies receive treatment in the hospital, often baptizing them in Europe and casting spells to get rid of bad luck in the East, both have different paths, but the fundamentals of humanity are the same and there is one truth, love. People think that because they follow the teachings, those who don't are barbaric, or they feel sorry for them, or they feel discriminated against, but their ego blinds them to the truth, and they are simply misguided.
