Notice that Christie Sides NEVER EVER takes any responsibility for making any BAD COACHING DECISIONS, bad clock management, bad player substitution. Look at the team assists for Minnesota, they don't have just 2 players sharing the ball, everyone is playing and that, my friends, is teamwork. The team has no bench except for a few old time, slow down, unproductive, half court offense favorites of Christie Sides. She refuses to play to the strength of what she has: Clark, Mitchel, Boston and Hull, sadly the Fever does not have a strong starting five. She is an horrific game coach. She just does not get it at all. When it is game time, she could not coach water to run donwhill in a cloud burst. She wants the credit for sucess of the team which happens in spite of her abysmal coaching, but she just can not and will not take any responsibility for a loss. For that she continues to throw players under the bus. The Fever have made the playoffs, but don't look for them to go beyond the first round this year or next year. They won't be out played, but they will be out coached. Caitlin Clark is just one person trying to survive in an oppressive environment of which she is not a seriously valued member. It would seem that the struggle from within the Fever hierarchical structure makes winning more than difficult. I am surprised that Caitlin has lasted this long, for that she must be considered, as a human being, far greater than here incredible stats!

One of issues I've noticed is that she let's other teams enjoy a 10 point plus run before she calls that time out. Last night it was a 12 point run by the lynx in the third quarter. It's not just that Minn. Had the run its how how out of sync the Fever was. Minn must have had at least 5 or 6 situations where their player was wide open, uncovered under the hoop. No team should be allowing that. Sides was simply out coached in that game.

Sides had a hard time with the fit because she did not want to let CC22 play her game. This S is basic to bball fundamentals. Also their bigs were biting on everything, and on offense were getting collapsed on by the defense and were not kicking it out. I think Coach Sides is doing a great job, with a very young team developing the chemistry and instilling her O. She has had a learning curve just like the players and appears to be growing and by extension her team is growing. I listened to her post game and she never said "they" but "we" didn't do this or that. She took responsibility just like CC did so you guys need to quit hating on her. Coach Sides is the reason they're in the playoffs, her and the players she coaches. People need to quit "reacting" emotionally and start thinking objectively about things. On the defensive issue, The Lynx exposed a problem that has been going on since the outset of the season. That is perimeter defense. I only watch clips of the games but what stands out to me is Hull and Temi locking down on the opposing players but everyone else not so much. The Lynx may have done the Fever a favor by exposing this weakness prior to the playoffs. It might behoove them to watch film of the UCONN women's team's defense, in particular Christyn Williams and especially Nika Muhl's lockdown defense. Watch UCONN's defensive philosophy in which they smother other teams on the perimeter. I know Geno made an ass of himself dissing on CC but it doesn't change the fact that he is a genius with basketball. He demands defense or a player never sees playing time.

The Lynx are possibly the best team in the league now. Their defense is the best in the league. The Fever are a young team with players who are learning to deal with the frustration of being shut down by a defense. Then, they folded in the 3rd under the pressure from Lynx. As far as the Lynx 3's in the 4th, they are known as a team that gets points in the paint - not 3's from the arc. They got hot. But this was the 2nd game where the Fever didn't play to their abilities. After clinching a playoff spot, they struggled to pull out a win against LA. @@shaemcquoid511 keep her under control? 😂😂😂 That was a tantrum. Grownups had a game to play rather than tending to another grown lady that you all coddle. She had 4 years of college to learn how to control herself.

How bout you Christy Sides run the court for 37 minutes and execute every play perfectly. Or maybe, just learn how to coach.

They all played like they were high....Sides is in denial....

Jon why is Sides playing Katie Lou worst player on the team -she bringing nothing to the table

Let's be clear. The Fever's 7-1 record, including 5 straight wins, since the Olympic break had a lot to do with players stepping up and playing better basketball and not much to do with Sides' coaching. The Indiana Fever have been losers for a long time. That can't all be pinned on the players. Habitual losing starts with a mediocre owner, GM, and head coach. If the owners don't care about putting a winning product on the court, sell the team to someone who does. New owner hires a quality GM, and the quality GM hires a quality head coach. These players, especially with Clark, are capable of winning more than half their games, but they will never be anything better than a .500 team with the off the court leadership they have now.

As coach , when team is not putting points on the board, or missing passes you call time out . DUH. The youngest kid on the team takes responsibility. That's says alot about the coach. If your team puts 10-12 points up for the quarter someone lied to you , you ain't coach of the month.

Shake the haters off! Or in this case Christie sides. She has show in these post pres conferences she is focused on playingmin the paint, doesn't understand the type of ball this team needs to play to win. She still doesn't call timeouts or stand up for her players. This is nothing new and sides has never improved. She has been riding the wave of Clark and Mitchell disguising how bad sides is and has been. This ismevery game where sides slows it down or makes really dumb rotations and no in game adjustments that would deviate from her brain dead game plans. She pulls Clark off the court in the second for no reason and lets the lynx back in the game. Allows a 14-0 run allows Boston to pick up a technical. Sides is the worst coach in sports history.mshe has two first round picks, a generational talent an intelligent center a great defender and shooter in hull and the walking bucket that is Mitchell and cannot lead this team to victory. She is not ahead coach she is an observer allowing her team too fall apart. Get in the refs ears an take the tech inmplace of your players. Thought she would get a tech so she benched her. Basically she needs Clark to run everything because sides cannot contribute anything during the actual game

NEVER HAS CHRISTIE SIDES EVER SAID SOME OF OUR PROBLEMS WAS FROM MISTAKES IVE MADE .....NOPE SHE THROWS HER PLAYERS TO THE PRESS WOLVES! NO HELL NAW ITS BEEN HER BAD COACHING.

A good , coach when they see their team getting up seat and not playing together and not playing to their strength . There's needs to be a time out called be for the other team takes the lead. But if the coach does nothing, that's called pour coaching. They need to take responsibility for losing the game.

WHY is Kelsey Mitchell holding her head in her hands? Her presence at press conferences NEEDS to be tempered by a media professional. Can the Fever hire one for her? I love her play, but her appearance comes off as a hot mess. Step up and HELP this woman!

I don't know why Smith ever gets to play. Smith doesn't know what hustle means. She just lumbers down the court looks like Cardoso lumber and down the court. Lazy

When an unknown nobody , past BB player becomes a coach.... can she even understand how to coach much less support a CC that is superior in every way.

Christie Sides is the problem with Indiana Fever, Her substitution in the 3rd Quarter as always sucks! Especially when she goes back to substituting unproductive players. I think 🤔 it's High Time FEVER gets rid of Christie Sides.
@jacquescousteau217Ай бұрын
Sides was the worst coach before the break, and AFTER the break. She is riding CC,s coattails. The LYNX are a GREAT TEAM ! So what does Sides do ? I’ll just go for the one no one can miss. The FEVER defense is terrible. Watch every baller on the Lynx shooting treys. There is not one defender even close to say someone like Collier. Wide open ! There is no excuse for Indianas terrible defense. Lexie Hull is the one, and only great defense player on the Fever. Sides pulls Lexie with four fouls when they needed her most. No your defense has not been better since the break. It was CC,Kelsey,Hull,Boston, and then what ?
