Top tier locks are insane, but I wouldn't say the class overall is anywhere near as consistently annoying as mage and rogue. Warlocks can be caught and killed at least and are the top first blood in SS. Rogues are just in their own world and mages are only reliably killable by certain specs like hunter, feral, rogue.

Ww's sweep is 4 seconds in pvp... it used to be 5 seconds but blizzard nerfed it to 4 in DF while also nerfing our burst. In tww they also nerfed para from 4 seconds to 3, while further nerfing our burst and turning us into more of a warrior damage profile.

All mage and shaman specs getting their most OP abilities and brand new OP abilities on top of it is absolutely insane. Thunderstorm, lightning lasso, static totem, heroism/timewarp, blast wave, ice wall, alter time, dragon's breath, etc, etc. There might be one or two of those they don't all share, but it's wild that they have such busted ass kits. They need to make some of this spec specific again. The shaman kit is bloated enough without getting abilities from the other specs lol.

RMP and nothing else is close. Mage and Rogue are miles ahead of disc as well, even though its consistently strong. Rogues and Mages just have way too much mobility/escapes and control for how much dmg they do. They have never had a trade off in 3s like we used to get with hybrids doing less dmg.

Before even watching it I knew Mage was gonna be on the list. I think they're also the best class for new players. Most people recommend Hunter or Lock to new players because they have a pet to help them. But in my experience teaching people to play the game while managing a pet seemed to be a little overwhelming for them. Of course you could just put the pet on defensive but I would always stress that's a bad habit. Mage is simple. Of course it has a high skill ceiling but I disagree with the statement saying they have a high skill floor. From what I've seen they're one of the easiest for a new player to learn the basics on. They've got no pet to worry about managing (except for Frost later on in leveling), no shapeshifting, no stances, no totems, they only wear Cloth all throughout leveling, they can make their own food/water, they can teleport themselves around, AND make gold by just existing. On a basic level they kinda just cast spells and blink around. And I'm not hating on them because they're one of my favorite classes next to Druid. Speaking of Druid I think if we were prioratizing BGs over Arenas Balance & Resto Druids would have to be top of the list. Mostly because of their mobility and ability to output strong consistent damage/healing with instant cast spells in most expansions.

Rogue top? Mental? Yes, rogue is annoying to face against but when i played the game, i was truly relieved each time i faced a rogue and i Played myself these 3 classes Rogue/Mage/Priest. Each time I saw War, DK, DH, Monk, any DPS. I was annoyed that i will get trained down, but when i saw a rogue. 0 issues, the dmg output in arena from a rogue was and is a JOKE! The only class that dies in a stun lock or a fear is a rogue. It`s squishy, low dmg and compared to other melees, i would even dare to say, one of the worst mobilities in the game since Vanilla. You cannot step when in a root, you blow 2 minute cooldowns to break free of a snare that is 10 or less second CD. Sprint not removing snares/slows. Yes, skilled rogues, Pika, Whazzz and some other few, sure they can make it work but the skill ceiling is so damn high and everything MUST be perfectly aligned and executed. Lately in 2024 and onwards, i barely have seen any Rogue videos nor pvp streams, as it is so sht, it hurts. People playing Hardcore instead of PVP. Just because they are annoying doesn`t mean they are good. In what world being a support class that throws a stun for your teammate to be able to kill the target because your own dmg is trash, makes a class good?
