You are a hidden gem! Thank you so much this really helps me in seeing sorta path to follow for the MCAT prep (: I wanted to see how I could learn the content more in classes rather than on my own content review so I can really do test taking strategies!!!

Sorry, just saw this comment! 100%, I think learning the content through classes is easier if you can do it. Good luck!

What percent of biochem questions would you say involve the metabolic pathways out of all the biochem questions?

Sorry, just saw this comment! It's hard to say. I go over this a bit in my biochem course, but there are about 30 or so biochem questions per exam, split between the two science sections. Of those, I estimate about 10 of them (1/3) will cover metabolism concepts, but I count that very broadly, to include metabolic regulation, and carbs/lipids, and things like that. You can see my list of lessons on this page here: www.acethemcat.com/biochemcourse In terms of the detailed metabolic pathways and stuff like that, I estimate maybe about 1-2 questions per exam on average might ask about those. Even then, I think you can usually get those questions by knowing metabolism at a broader level. But just in case, I also include a set of 4 more detailed lectures on the pathways of metabolism in that course. Though again, I don't recommend you spend too much time studying them in detail for the MCAT, there are almost certainly better uses of your time than that :) Good luck!
