Do you have any vids in which elevated or upper level instability fueled thunderstorms are discussed ? Also, from what I understand, or at least think I understand, the thunderstorms that form within the tropics, can be expected to behave very different than the thunderstorms that form along cold fronts and within other types of non tropical weather systems. Can you direct me towards some literature or other form of recorded information in which this subject is discussed ? Finally, how similar or different are the thunderstorms that form along the ITZ and the air mass thunderstorms that form during the summer months well away from the tropics in regions such as the southern US and even regions further from the ITZ ?

nathan hughs; I have never had my house ripped by a ''tunder '' storm, but I did have a green house once that was ripped to shreds by a severe thunderstorm which produced 105 mph wind gusts. As far as I can recall, I have never experienced a tunder storm. What is a tunder storm like anyway ?
