My theory is that Vanessa wss always meant to die in Deadpool 2. Her death is a canon event and because of Wade going to save her, it really broke the timeline. That's why they're now broken up and appear to have lost their kid. I don't know what the explanation will be or how she'll die but i think Deadpool will realize in order to save the universe from being destroyed entirely he has to let everyone he brought back go.

I think Deadpool’s universe will be destroyed but he’ll find a way to restore it in fractions/splinters (somewhat in a forced-puzzle-pieces-together-and-hold-with-duck-tape manner) but as a result his place in it is gone: no Wade Wilson ever existed, Melissa is married and with a family, etc, and the splinters that didn’t get taped in will be brought over into the Secret Wars
