The deluxe doll deserves to be our normal play line quality! It’s not perfect but I like the details and the fabric clothing is a plus! The gimmick doll was not executed well. But the concept would’ve been cool if done differently.

In fairness, they would've bothered to close the tail at the bottom back then and the fabric wouldn't have been printed so cheaply.

I think the deluxe doll is very pretty and cute for a playline, I'm glad everything is fabric. I think if they made it where you could turn the tail inside out and it would have a dress inside or some sort of 2nd outfit then it would make it go from good to GREAT. I love the fin too I think it's the prettiest fabric fin we've seen so far. The transforming doll... I'm it seems like a cool idea, but we've all seen that executed in a much better fashion, I feel as if they need to go back to the drawing board on that one (a little too late tho)

I would like to think of her of as a deluxe playline doll, But for me I did changes to mine I actually gave her twist to her hair and I also added Swarovski crystals to mine and gave her more bling.

I'm definitely getting this deluxe Ariel. She's the nicest looking one that doesn’t make me get her a different body. I don’t get why her legs look the way they do though. Couldn’t Mattel just have used a slight variation of a Barbie body if they couldn’t use one of their current Barbara's?

Taking in consideration that there's a lot of plastic pieces, new display stand, this is a Disney licenced product and the actress is having her portion because they're using her facemold I think it's a decent price

@@tofanpurnomowaisaka503 Yeah that too. I feel that if really thinks about it you can see where the price is coming from. She has the quality of a Barbie Extra doll which retail at 25 dolllars. Then add on top of that a fancy unique stand, nice rooted eyelashes, and a licensing fee for both Disney and the actress. After adding that I can see where the 45 dollars is coming from

It was good to see the deluxe Ariel. I still want her but I am cringing at the $45 price tag. I would like her better at $35 but I think her face is so pretty. The transforming Ariel well that's a nope, no way, not going to happen. That gimmick is not cute. Please somebody outlaw molded clothes on dolls. Please.

I think the deluxe doll is stunning, but I hate the skirt-tail that Mattel gave her. I don't like it. She is $73 on the Swedish Amazon and she is not worth it. I wish Mattel had given her a real mermaidtail with fins that was printed on both sides, a prettier stitched waist and one of those clip buttons in the back. The tail looks so cheaply made for a deluxe doll and I even saw a review of her where some of her locks wasn't attached to her head. Mattel is scamming us. Even the Fashion adventure Ariel seems to have a real fabric tail, even if the fin is more like shopdisney and she has the pink dress, a dinklehopper, a (plastic)bag and ofc the standard 5 points of articulation. I hope she will be cheaper though as she doesnt seem to be a deluxe doll.
