What Dale Jr. JUST SAID about Drivers MISSING playoffs is INSANE!

Dale Earnhardt Jr. has lashed out at NASCAR and of the drivers that came into Darlington needing a victory, such as Chase Briscoe, Ross Chastain, and Kyle Busch, for failing to do enough to put themselves in a position to win throughout the weekend. Is the current 'win-and-your-in' system flawed?

The rules for overtime really suck. The rest of the rules are not that great, but those suck hard.

and with no overtime rules, he won that race easy. I agree he shouldn't have done what he did. But he ran the race of his life that race right up until that flawed OVERTIME rule. Further, they should NOT have 2-wide restarts in overtime...single file would be more fair to the leader.

Hindsight is twenty, twenty! If we knew exactly what the other 35 cars were going to do, we would know better to counter. But in competition if you do A your competitor is going to do B! If Darryl Wallace had showed he was going to get tires, how many cars behind him would've stayed on the track? It is easy to say after the fact, he should have taken tires. But seeing how much the tires were giving up, I would have taken tire also.

overtime rule should be abolished...it's a curse to the team owners and deserving drivers. Most recently, go ask Dillon, Busch and now in Xfinity Sheldon Creed. Dale Earnhardt won his only Daytona 500 in 1998 under yellow and there wasn't a dry eye in the place. The playoff and point system is also flawed. Charters? Nascar owns them not the teams.

flawed? YES, along with the silly playoff system, the charters (franchise) are more of a lease as NASCAR owns all charters not team owners, the points system is crazy and not indicative of season long performance, and most flawed of all the incredibly unfair OVERTIME rules which snatch away deserving wins from worthy drivers under the yellow like 1998 when Earnhardt won his only Daytona 500 and line them up double wide for crashfest overtime restarts. This is not racing, it's like a circus sideshow.

Yep after watching this year of NASCAR there is definitely something not right. I need the drivers that are winning have no right to do so. It seems like scenarios are made up to put them in the position that they get. I don't know NASCAR's becoming a scam just like everything else this year makes no sense at all

I would bump and run each "playoff driver" off the track. I play offs are contrived , all you have to do is be the top of the final 4 the rest doesn't matter. Go back to the one with the most points at the end of the season wins the champaionship

Nascar rigged the playoffs by interfering with the last-minute rule change. Now they can't go for the win anymore. Nascar got what they wanted.

In any competition it doesn't matter what the rules are as long as they are understood and accepted before the event. All this 2nd guessing and whining hurts the game more than anything else. Would'a , should'a , could'a .... they had the whole season to get a win. Grow up.
