And then the security guard fell back with stairs behind him so he grabbed the security guard to keep him from falling down the stairs (3 steps but still) and he can’t see the replay again without committing to the challenge, so in essence he has NO CLUE what happened now due to the security guard stepping infront his field of vision of the video and then almost falling down. So that’s why

Not what happens. The manager is watching a guy on a phone in the dugout talking to the head honchos in the replay booth telling him yes or no to challenge. They have 15 seconds to signal a challenge or play continues. He is not watching a camera or a replay

Yes, he was safe. Notice how the security officer did not continue to the task that he "could have been attending to". This indicates that there was no reason for the security officer to walk between the coach and the screen at that time. If the security man was doing his job, he would have continued doing it instead of standing there and getting involved in the game. It is not his job to be a participant in the game, which was EXACTLY what he was doing as the clip ends. Marmol did EXACTLY what he should have done. I say this as a former security officer.

They don't have a screen for replays in the dugout. They have a guy up in the replay booth to tell them wether or not to challenge over a phone. He was probably looking at his bench coach for a signal to challenge. Within the rules he has to be at the top of the dugout or on the field when he signals the challenge. He's right where any other manager is going to be in.
