Very interesting, have I got this right 🤔? The river Poddle gave Dublin its name, at Dublin Castle it formed a black pool, in irish, Dubh linn.

I used to work in the Land Registry in Chancery Street. Some of the older maps were still singed from the fire. It was also taken as a given that any document from before the 1920s was lost. It truly was a disaster.

I live in an area of Blackpool called revoe and it predates Blackpool it’s so old nobody knows if it’s Norse or Anglo Saxon or Celtic. Do you know Dublin means Blackpool?
