Also Koshi is the last name of both sisters koshitan is a nickname given by nokotan to match her own nickname. Koshian is using the first two letters oh her first name and adding it to her last. Is not that common as other methods but still a traditional way to give a nickname to your friends in Japan (though I don’t see it used often so is probably not that common)

Often times, the most appropriate way to translate changes in the level of formality is by sprinkling in a few swear words, because using swear words, slang, and improper grammer is the way the English language deals with dropping formality.
