I'm interested in how you made your pork and sauerkraut. You sped it up too fast. Will you share your crockpot recipe?

I live in Georgia and our New Year's Day tradition is black-eyed peas seasoned with the leftovers of the Christmas ham, collard greens, rice and cornbread. Every pea you eat represents one day of good luck in the coming year. The greens represent what the old folks call your "folding money" or your "walking around money". Since my family has a strong Irish heritage, all that is superimposed on the Irish tradition of not doing any laundry or sweeping on New Years Day because all your good luck will be washed or swept away. This there's also the whole business about "first footers" on New Years, but that's probably more than you care to hear, lol!

I made my black-eyed peas and collard greens a day late this year with last year's frozen beans. I'm calling it Hoppin' John's savings account.

Thank you for another wonderful video. I really enjoyed watching it. I look forward to seeing more this year. I think it's a good idea to show more things like cooking, gardening and decorating your house. It might pull in more viewers. Or if you think stitches are not interested in that. You could start a second channel. One of my favorite KZbin person does vlogmas. I love it. He just films his day and I feel like I spent a day with a friend. Thank you again for the videos. Happy New Year and have a great day!

Pork tenderloins and kraut is one of my family’s favorite meals. Had not heard eating it to celebrate New Years but might have to start that tradition for my family also.

I'm half German and my family has traditionally done that meal on Christmas Day. Never knew it was actually for New Years. We also have lamb and red sourkrat on Easter SUnday. I think we must have switched it ma6be because that was when my grandparents were here. The6 always left right before new years. Either it's a delicious meal.

Happy New Year. I fixed kielbasa with saurkraut, rice, broccoli, and a salad... Yummy. I think the idea of seeing you in a more comfortable atmosphere is great and taking us along on your adventures. Please slow down the videos, and keep everything well lit. Being able to see what you're doing is what the video is all about. Your scarf is Beautiful! I love how it drapes so softly.

I love coming along for your vlogs! I feel like I'm getting to know you more each time you post. I think we would be friends irl. I cross stitch, home make and chase after 3 boys aged 11, 8 and 7. Didn't you say in a flosstube that you're a teacher? I get that academic vibe from you. Wishing you all the best! Love from Minnesota.
